"Taehyung!" The little prince heard his mother call after him. He chuckled from his hiding spot, wedged between two orchid colored bushes. The 14 year old boy thought this was incredibly amusing, hiding from his mother to avoid his lessons. He had to cover his mouth to keep his laughs from escaping. Suddenly, the two bushes parted and his mother had discovered the boy. The moon on his cheek glowed furiously, showing his embarrassment. "Mother..." Taehyung said, adjusting his crown of stars and looking up at his mother fearfully. She looked at her son and laughed, offering her hand to help him up. He took his mother's hand, surprised by her reaction.
Taehyung walked next to his mother with their hands clasped together. "My lovely Tae," she sighed. "you have to be more responsible. I understand that you don't want to attend your studies but you must. You have to learn how to rule, it's crucial."
"It's not like it that hard to do mom." He said looking up at his mother, "all I have to do is tell them what to do and give them food."
She chuckled at her son, ruffling his wavy, light brown locks. "Son, it's much, much more than that. You have to decide many things, how to keep them safe, what to do when they aren't sure, manage the money and jobs of everyone, and above all else you have to care for them like you would care for your father and I."
"But mom, that seems really hard." Taehyung said, a frown on his face. The little boy pulled his hand from his mothers and adjusted his silk white shirt.
Mother turned to her son at the entrance of their palace and cupped his soft, honey colored face in her hands. Taehyung reached his hand up to put it on his mother's, his bell sleeve falling down. He smiled at him, "That's exactly why we need to teach you, so by the time your father and I are gone, it won't seem so hard anymore."
Taehyung furrowed his strong brows, "You guys aren't even old." He pointed out, noting his mother's face that was free of wrinkles and full of youth.
She nodded and laughed, "you're right, we're not. However, it won't stay that way forever Tae, my little starboy." She pulled him into a hug, "now run along, I don't want to have to come looking for you again."

"Chim Chim?" Jimin's mother knocked on his oak door.
"Come in." He said, the 13 year olds pencil scratching away on his study guide, blending in with the sound of the rain falling against his window.
"I called you down for dinner but you didn't come, so I brought it up for you." His mother said, putting her hand on the back of his chair. She looked down at the study guide her son was filling out. Such a hard worker. His mother thought to herself, ruffling his long black hair.
"I'm proud of you for studying so hard for your final." She said, smiling to herself.
"Thank you mom." Jimin said, smiling warmly back at her, then lifting his fork up and taking in a huge mouthful of rice. "I really wanna get a perfect score on my Algebra I final, so dad can see how hard I'm working."
Jimin's father had been enlisted in the army for several years already, and everything Jimin did was to make him proud, so that even in his absence he could see how hard his son was working.
Jimin's mother frowned and pulled a chair to sit next to Jimin, "he knows how hard you're working Jimin-ah you don't have to prove yourself to him. He loves you very much."
Jimin turned to look at his mother, softly setting down his pencil. "I know he loves me mamma, but I want him to see it all the time how hard I work, and how smart I am because of it." Jimin looked out of the window clouded with raindrops. He listened to the wind sway the trees and the pattern the rain fell on the roof. He watched a bird fly in the down pour and wondered where his father was and what he was doing right now.
"Alright son." His mother got up and kissed him on the head, "go to bed soon, it's getting late and the exams are tomorrow, you need to be well rested." She walked out of the bedroom and closed the door, leaning against it and sighing.
Jimin nodded a silent response and picked up his pencil again, scratching away at the paper, desk light illuminating the whole room.
"I'll do my very best tomorrow." Jimin said to himself.
