Isaac rushed down the stairs to check his noisy ringing phone. He'd been waiting for a reply from his crush, Emily. But instead, he got a boring phone call from a spam caller assuring him he'd get a new car if he logged onto their website. Isaac groaned and hung up.
"Need a little help?" His twin brother, Lukas said.
"I'm fine, Lukas." Isaac replied as he forced his eyes up to his brother.
"You look like your constipated." Lukas grabbed a pillow and wacked his younger twin with it. "Mom wants you to wash the dishes."
"Why can't you do it?"
"I broke the dishwasher last time." Lukas rolled his eyes. "And I have a patrol meeting."
"Fine." Isaac surrendered. The lean boy got up from his position and placed the dishes in neat rows. Once he was done, he pushed the door up to the mouth of the washer and let it wash the dirty dishes.
The boy looked up and saw his father.
"I need to show you something!" He said excitingly.
Another one of dad's failing inventions...
Isaac thought to himself. He followed the taller man into the attic.
"I promise, it works this time." He smiled. Isaac gave a half-smile.
They got up the stairs and what was revealed was amazing.
"Ta-da!" Isaac's father smiled, pointing to a portal-like image with a diameter of possibly five feet. The man grabbed a remote and pressed a button. The portal-like thing made a weird noise, then created a whirlpool of color.
"This will help with so many things."
