"Lumos."
Perci whispered softly as she ducked under a dilapidated wooden beam that was dripping with what Perci hoped to be lemonade, but the smell was telling her differently. Her face scrunched as she held her wand out, its light glowing against her guarded face as they walked through the old, smelly country house in Blackawton, Devon.
"Ah! Fuckin' 'ell!"
Perci's head snapped to look behind her as her partner, loosely put as Perci did all the hard work, screamed rather loudly when they were supposed to be tracking a Hit. (That's what Alastair Gumboil told Perci to call them. She found it a bit dehumanizing, though.)
"Elwick!" Perci whispered angrily. "Shut it before I shut it for you," she warned. Perci turned back to look in front of her, moving the light of her wand along a long, wet railing. She shone her wand-light over it closely and scrunched up her nose. Blood.
"Well, I'm sorry. I've got shit in my hair!"
Perci stopped suddenly and turned on him irritably. Elias Elwick was a few years older than her, 22, with silver hair. He was lanky with bronze skin; he had only one leg, the other was a prosthetic. He managed to somehow be incredibly quiet (when he wanted to) despite his clumsiness. But no, not at the moment when they really need to be.
"Blimey, we're going to get caught and it's going to your fault. Shut the hell up! I don't fancy getting crucio'd by the Hit again," Perci reminded him of their second "mission", per say, when Elias fell over a body and outed them to a group of Death Eaters. It didn't end well for the followers of Voldemort after Elias finally disarmed them as they were casting Perci's second least favorite spell: the Cruciatus Curse. Elias scowled, but nodded, muttering, "Lumos," before going back to stalking quietly and swiftly.

It was a normal morning for Perci. The woman untangled herself from her boyfriend's bare, strong arms and arose from bed groggily, wiping the drool from her chin. She looked back at her dear Fred and wiped his long, orange hair from his eyes with a small smile. She didn't want to wake him too soon. He'd get up in about 30 minutes to get ready for work at the joke shop. Perci went to her closet and pulled out her black work robes that consisted of nothing too special. She had to blend into darkness as a hit witch, as she didn't want anyone catching her. She went into the small, unfinished washroom she and Fred had been renovating for a few weeks. Perci suggested they do it by hand–it would be more enjoyable. She was wrong, it was not more enjoyable. After only a couple hours of work, her hands would be littered with splinters.
Perci tied her jet black hair in a loose bun. She spelled on make-up, not in the mood to actually do it. She hated make-up, but it was an expectation for witches her age in her profession to wear it. She buttoned her shirt and pants and began to tie her thin black tie.
Perci trudged down the creaky wooden steps to the kitchen. It was bustling with movement. Pans hovered over the stove, making omelets and flipping pancakes. Tea and coffee were brewing just in front of the stove on the island. The small dinner table was setting itself for her and Fred just as her owl flew in, landing on the perch she usually used for herself in her animagus form. Achilles carried a small letter in its beak, which Perci took gratefully. She opened it, petting the owl.
'Apologies for the late notice. You and Fred must come in early. Urgent business, as you know.

Perci felt a tall, solid body come up behind her. Two arms wrapped around her waist loosely and pulled her into the him. Fred hugged her from behind, kissing her temple and neck lightly. "Good morning, dear Prissy," he said gently and continued to kiss her neck. Perci grinned and turned around wrapping her arms around Fred's neck. She kissed him deeply and pressed a small peck to the side of his jaw before pulling away.
