At the time I didnt know what I should do. I guess the smartest thing would have been to show the message to my dad, but for some reason, that had not even occured to me until it had already been to late. Instead, I did the dumbest thing I could have possibly done. I went to look for the maid.

So I ran up the stairs to the 3rd floor and entered the door to the laboratory. It looked just like it had before except for mi dads newest invention. There were pieces of his machine everywhere. It was clear that the maid had already started to dismantle it.

Oh hey..Daniela the maid exclaimed. It was clear I had startled her. What are you doing here?

Oh cut the innocent maid act I said I know what you are here to do! I then showed her that I had her phone.

She stood up carefully, and for second, she looked scared of me. That is until she took out a gun and pointed it right at my heart.

My eyes widened with fear. Wait no; it wasnt a gun, or if it was, it didnt look like one.

What is that?? I cried

You know, She said, completely ignoring my question. I always thought that if I was going to get busted it would be by a smart person, and not you

Oh yeah? I answered Well I always thought that if the ozone layer would be destroyed by a person, it would be by a genius scientist and not by my maid.

I know it was an unseemly thing to say considering she was pointing something similar to a gun at my heart, but as you must have figured out by now, I am not the best at making intelligent decisions.

Look kid, I didnt want to hurt you but you have left me no other choice. I cant have you snitching on me. she said.

She looked at her gun, and then at me, kind of like if she was weighing her options. She did not have the look of malevolence that you would expect a person who is just about to shoot a fifteen year old to have but I knew she was going to shoot me. She had too, she couldn't risk me ruining her plan.

I froze, my arms and knees shaking. I had no way to defend myself. I could only hope that something would happen for her to divert her attention, helping me escape. But that didnt happen, and with and with an almost painful look on her face, she pulled the trigger.

I braced myself; closed my eyes and clenched my teeth, waiting to feel the bullet, but I never did. Instead I felt myself getting covered in some sort of liquid substance that felt similar to syrup. I opened my eyes and stared at the maid. What had she done to me? It didnt take long for me to figure.
