The body mocks the soul
Or is it
The soul mocks the body?
Tangible in reason
Closer to the unknown
But trapped inside alone
Yet is a piece to be solved
A problem no riddle can dissolve
The body mocks the soul
I tell you
A world of material
Things are a physical touch
One mistake and your out of luck
And sometimes they won't even miss you much
It makes it seem like life sucks
Especially with the superficial guck
The soul mocks the body?
I ask you
Aren't we all the same underneath?
Don't we all have hearts?
But do we all have souls?
A question left unanswered
As time takes its toll
The body mocks the soul
Or is it
The soul mocks the body?
I don't know the answer
I'm just being honest
But the truth isn't always fondest
To you once revealed
The lie will always cheat you
So you better leave it concealed
The body mocks the soul
Or is it
The soul mocks the body?
The answer to that question
I do not know
But you can't not have one
To be whole
