Anne's P.O.V

The midwife finishes her examination as I rise from my laying position. "Your Grace, you mustn't strain yourself anymore. While the child lives, I cannot garantee it will if you over excite yourself in such a manner. I advise you begin your laying in as you are seven months into your pregnancy ans should not be up roaming around. I will return every week to check on your health until the child arrives." I smile, shaking my head. "That isn't nessecary, lady Treman. I'm sure you have multiple women to tend to. I can't accept such a proposal." She laughs. "Madame, with all due respest, I was not offering. This is my job." My ladies started to giggle as I appeared shocked that she dared to address me in such a tone. "Oh child, I have met multiple noble women, such as yourself, yo do not scare me one bit." I grin at the old woman, nodding my head. "Then I suppose I no other choice to accept."

As Lady Treman took her payment, Lady Arielle rushes into my chambers and curtesys. "Your Grace, the King is here." Panic ensues as my ladies attempt to cover my stomach and lay into the deep into my bed. "We will tell him you are unwell, and it is better he and Princess Elizabeth walk into the gardens." Lady Treman observes everyone with a worried expression. "Madame, this kind of environment is not good for your state." A door opens and footsteps come closer and into my chambers. "That is why she will not remain here." In the door way stands Henry, arms folded across his face a glare on me. "Anne, my love, what is the meaning of all this." I scoff at his 'my love' phrase. "Henry, you mustn't come any closer I have something contagious." I fake a cough.

He nods and slowly begins to step further into my rooms. "Funny, I did not realize pregnancy is contagious." My scowl falters into a worrisome gaze. he shakes his head. "Charles sent word of your pregnancy earlier this morning." At the mention of Charles my emotions saddens. "I could not figure out why he would've aided in you hiding your pregnancy for so long. Almost like how he surprised me with how quick he was to defend Elizabeth's honor after the horse incident. Then it hit me, Charles has fallen for you and by the looks of it you have fallen for him as well." I turn my face away, unable to look upon Henry's expression. "Leave us." My maids and Lady Treman leave the room without a single thought.

Henry's P.O.V

"Is it his child?" Anne shifts her body back to my direction, and with her left hand she slaps me. I rub my cheek, grinning. "Take that as a no." She continues to glare at me. "I have done nothing wrong Henry. I am no longer yours to love. You lost that privilege when you asked for a divorce." My stare falls to the large bump, shaped through the covers. I slowly move the covers from off her stomach, replacing the blanket with my hands. "This is my child. You are the great love of my life. Nothing and no one will ever change that." She shakes her head. "You are married. Jane is pregnant. I beg you to let me go." I agree. "I said you are the great love of my life, Anne. I never said anything about never allowing you to love again. If you want to be with Charles I will not stop you." She smiles largerly become embracing me. I pull away slightly to gaze into her beautiful dark hooks. Grabbing her by the side of her cheeks. "All I ask if make sure he is who you want. All of him. Because once you give yourself to another our chance will be over."

She looks into my eyes, thinking. "What does that mean?" I pull away completely. "Whatever you want is to mean, Anne."

Anne's P.O.V

Henry walks out of my chambers, leaving me alone with my thoughts. Does this mean he still wants me? How could he have both Jane and I? Only one son could be Prince of Wales. Only one woman could be his wife. Did he mean what he said about Charles? What did he mean by all of Charles? I start to drift off into a deep sleep. I awake to Lizzie cuddling into my side and Henry admiring from a seat near my bedside. "She said she always takes her naps with you." I smile. "And you believed her?" He shakes his head smiling. "I just haven't seen a scenery like this since your departure from court." I agree, noticing his smile falter. I take his hand. "I'm sure Jane will give you what you crave." He shakes in his head. "You will give birth first." I shrug my shoulders. "I am almost postive it's another girl." He follows my lead, shrugging his shoulders. "Then I will welcome another princess into our lives."

I take a large breath. "You say that now, but I know you need a son. Perhaps, Jane should be the one to give you one." He places a kiss on my hand. "I want you to come back to court, Anne. You've been in Pembroke long enough." I pull my hand away from him. "Henry, don't ask me to come watch you love another and be the talk of the people. Pembroke is peaceful." He pulls my hand back. "Anne, you love court. You hate the countryside. I'm not asking you to come pay your respect to Jane. I need you and Elizabeth by my side until Jane gives birth. You are my solace." I simply agree to his pleas. "But after the birth." He stands from his chair and hovers over me. At first I believe he is going to kiss me, and I know I'd let him. Unfortunately his lips graced my forehead instead. "Goodnight, Anne."
