Niall's POV
Morgan barely said a word during dinner and right after she went back outside. "Hey mum?" I said, while we were cleaning up. "Yes love?" She looked over at me. "Did Morgan say anything to you earlier?" I asked. "What do you mean?" She set down the dishes she was drying. "Like is she okay? She hasn't said much since we got back from her appointment. I'm getting a bit worried" I chewed on the inside of my lip. "She's trying to adjust sweetheart. She was barely handling the idea of one baby, and now she's having two? It's a lot to take in. I think she just needs her space and time to process. But please make sure you are there for her. That's what she really is going to need moving forward. Go talk to her. I'll finish here" She practically shoved me out the door. I watched my wife rub her belly while she thought with a far off look in her eyes. "Need any help?" I asked. "No. I'm good" She said and went back to her job. I sat down on the steps and watched her in silence. After a few minutes I finally spoke up. "What's going on inside that pretty little head" I asked her. Morgan turned to me and teared up. She wrapped her arms around my waist. "I'm so scared" She cried. "Hey it's okay. Everything is going to be okay" I rubbed her back while she cried. "Let's go inside and go to bed. You've had a long day" I told her. Morgan sniffed and wiped tears from her cheeks. "Okay" She pushed her bangs behind her ears and rubbed her belly while she walked. "I'll meet you upstairs in a minute" I sent her up the stairs. My mum looked at me with a questioning look. "I'm just going to do my best to keep her from worrying" I told her. "Alright. Good. Now go take care of your wife" She sent me upstairs. When I climbed into bed next to her, Morgan pulled my hand over to her belly to feel the kicks that our twins were giving. I pulled up her shirt and felt her soft skin where I could see little jolts. "Hiccups" She said. "It's cute" I kissed her lips softly. "You're belly button has popped" I said, kissing just above it. "Mhmm" Morgan said sleepily. I laid my head on her shoulder and kept my hand on her exposed skin.
