I wasn't always a bad girl. Sure it may seem like it, but honestly, I was a total good girl. Did my homework, straight A's, I never drank or even went out to parties. Hard to believe I used to be a good girl? You and me both.

It all started back in 9th grade. I was at my locker doing what I usually do, my regular routine. "Hey babe~" he mumbles. It was my boyfriend, Seth. His auburn hair could make any girls legs tremble, and when he smiled. Dang his smile, his smile could lighten my mood anyway. "Hey! Do you still want to go out for that movie?" I asked, finished grabbing my backpack from my locker. "Ah, that's why I came here to tell you. Coach has us doing extra today, so my schedule is full." "Oh okay, next time then?" "Sure," He gives me a quick kiss before walking off.

You know that special someone that makes you have butterflies in your stomach? The way he makes you feel like your the only girl in the world? Well, he was my special someone. Little did I know I wasn't his.

I had then pulled my phone out to call my best friend Jenny. We've been friends since elementary school. We were practically sisters, we shared basically everything. I dialed her number while I got in the front seat of my car.

"Hi this is Jenny, sorry that I couldn't get to you at the moment, please leave a message after the beep!" her voicemail went off. That's weird, maybe she's busy. I cranked my car up and started riding home. I had thought maybe why not visit her, I mean we don't live far from each other.

I park my car in her driveway, her house was always prettier during spring. Flowers covering her front porch, rose bushes forming around her house. I remember when we were little, we would play in the garden pretending we both were the garden princesses of the world. God, I wish I could go back to those days. Everything was easier, not complicated. Not worrying about your looks or popularity.

Oh, but what am I talking about now, huh? Had the greatest best friend a girl could have. Had the football captain as my boyfriend. Heck, even I look decent. Well, that's what I had thought. Thought that nothing was better, and hell I was wrong.

"Hey, Jen! You there?" I knocked on her front door, expecting her to answer. Nobody answered which was weird, her car was in the garage, so she's home. I let myself in and placed my bag on the counter not far from the door. "Jen?" I walk to her room, which was a few doors down the hallway.

I remember this memory as if it was yesterday. The closer I got to her door, the more I hear giggling and laughter? The first thing that came to my mind was that 'OMG, Jen has a boyfriend'. Little did I know. Me being nosey, I waited outside the door listening to them. I heard muffled sounds, so I press my ear to the door so I could hear better. And boy did I.

"Oh I have a missed call from her, should I call her back?" "Nah, she'll be fine. Probably just wants to talk about how great I am." Wait, why does the boy sound like Seth? I peer the door open a little and I count believe my eyes. "Oh sure, the greatest boyfriend of all time. So, now that I think about it, aren't you sore from doing 'extra' practice with coach Jefferson?"

Standing right in front of Jenny, was my boyfriend Seth. He was supposed to be at practice! What's he doing here?! "You know, in fact, I really am. Could you please kiss it to feel better?" he asks, pointing to his cheek. "Of course." She stands on her tippy toes and kisses his cheek. She then kisses his lips.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My best friend and my boyfriend are kissing! I never thought this would happen, I've only seen this happen in movies. Never in my life did I ever think this would happen to me!

My chest then started hurting, as if someone took my heart out and punched it several times and they stabbed it. I couldn't believe my eyes, I didn't want to believe my eyes. It was as if my world was collapsing in front of me.

Tears stung my eyes. The worst thing about this all was that I really believed that he loved me. I'm so naive, love isn't real. Love is something that only happens in fairy tales. I kicked the door open making them both jump apart.

"Oh shit! Baby it isn't what it looks like!" Seth tries to explain. I hold my hand up to get from speaking, I then walked up to who I thought was my best friend and slapped her. She gasps and steps backward. My hand stung, which meant her face hurt a lot. And well I wanted her to feel the pain...

"How could you!" I yelled. "Abb-" "No! I don't want to hear your excuses! Jenny, you were my best friend!" "And you!" I turn to Seth whose stepped back from me. "We're through!" I stomp quickly out of the house, grabbing my bag beforehand and ran to my car. My hands were shaking so bad it took me a minute to get the key in the ignition. "Abby, wait!" Seth comes running outside. I had already started the car up and started backing out of the driveway. My phone then started going off like crazy so I turned it off.

I could barely see the road because my eyes were filled with tears. God, I felt so stupid, ignorant, blind. How could I not see this coming? From that day on I started drinking. I then started hanging with my new group of friends. I then started smoking and going out a lot at parties getting wasted. I was no longer a virgin, and I became my schools new popular. I never did talk to Seth or Jenny. I completely cut them off from my life. Funny how one small incident can make something happen.

My name is Abby Smith, this is my story.
