Emily's POV
I wake up at eight in the morning. Damian is still sleeping. I slowly get out of bed. My whole face hurts. I walk to the mirror and see that my face is swollen and turning blue, there're a couple of cuts aswell.
Normally my shift ended at 7 and I would have been asleep now. The night shift is from 23:00 - 07:00. The morning shift is from 07:00 - 15:00 and the afternoonshift is 15:00 - 23:00.
I get some breakfast and get dressed in a simple grey shirt with baggy black pants.
I look at my Phone and see a text from Sam.
Heey, how are you doing?
I send back
Doing okay, I can walk straight and I am not dizzy anymore. Sorry for being a pain in the ass.
He responds
You're forgiven. Is your face a beautiful shade of blue and purple?
I respond
Yes, my face thought it would be fun to just be my two favorite colours, so I basically look like a witch who's poisen went wrong and exploded in her face. But don't you need to sleep?
He responds
HAHAHAHA. Can you send me a picture? And no I am not really tired.
I respond
Nah I think I'll let it be a surprise for tommorow. Now get some sleep and I'll see you tommorow.
He responds
Yes mother.
I laugh and then I hear Damian walking towards the kitchen where I am sitting.
''Goodmorning.'' He says and gives me a kiss on the top of my head.
''Goodmorning.'' I say. He seems to be in a good mood today. Well it seems that way I never really know with him.
''What was so funny?'' he asks and raises a brow.
''Oh nothing much. Just some weird cat video.'' I know for sure if I say that it is Sam, my male partner, he will get really angry. He might not always treat me right, I know that, but he still gets jealouse about every male in my life
''Don't we have any milk anymore?'' He asks letting go of the subject.
''If there isn't anything left in the refrigerator, then no I don't think so.''
''Get some. I want milk with my breakfast you know that.'' Damian demands.
''Okay, I am going to put some make-up on then I'll go to the store. I'll be gone in five minutes.'' I quickly put some make-up on trying to cover up the bruises and leave the house. Damian doesn't want me driving his car and I don't have my own anymore because he sold mine a couple months ago. So I always walk to everything. Lucky for me the store is only five minutes away. I get the milk and walk back home.
