Chapter Twenty One

Ha-Seon's POV

Talking with Hoseok and sort of confessing I liked somebody only made the truth more clear to me. I thought a lot last night and in the morning now, and even though I haven't felt this way about somebody before, I knew it was a crush.

Honestly, it felt kind of pathetic to me. For me to like him even though he hasn't shown any slight interest in that way.

But I still liked him anyway.

The way he'd smile after a cheesy joke, pretend he didn't find it funny afterwards. His serious and cool nature that makes it seem like he was cold, but was rather extremely lovable to others.

There was way more to it, but the feeling is indescribable and seems impossible for me to put into words. To put it in a simple way, I never wanted him to catch me in an embarrassing moment, to see me differently.

But, I could tell there was something wrong.

When we were eating, I would catch him staring at me blankly, and when I did, he just blinked slowly and held my gaze until I looked away. Was he mad at me for earlier? Knowing that somebody who you like is mad at you is the worst.

Besides that, Namjoon and Hoseok were talking about going to an arcade later with Jungkook, Taehyung, and Jimin. Jin invited me, and of course I couldn't say no. Despite never going to an arcade before, I still wanted to spend time with them. Plus, it sounded more entertaining then just sulking and overthinking things.

They decided on going when it was night because one of their friends would be on shift, or something similar to that.

It was still mid-day, so I was stuck awkwardly staring at the TV between everyone else. They seem to be invested in a Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but I couldn't really... get into it.

"Ew," Hoseok began to complain, "who would get their daughter a pig?"

"She wanted a chicken," Namjoon frowned, now I want one too."

"No, you wouldn't take care of it," Jin immediately denied Namjoon's hopes.

I was sandwiched between Hoseok and Yoongi, and by the minute it felt like I was being pushed closer to Yoongi. Hoseok kept overreacting to whatever Khole was doing, and 'accidentally' shoving me onto Yoongi. Each time I felt myself heat up in embarrassment, and he would freeze up until I scooted away.

Somehow I felt like Hoseok was doing it on purpose.

Eventually, the episode ended and Yoongi had enough.

"Can we do something else other than watch famous white people?" he suddenly asked with impatience, already turning off the TV before the next episode automatically played.

Immediately right after, Hoseok's phone went off. Everyone stayed quiet as if anticipating something.

He read his phone, "Jungkook and the rest are coming over right now."

"Okay..." Jin said rather reluctantly.

"Why do you seem upset by that?" Namjoon noticed his tone.

"Jungkook keeps trying to practice a Street Fighters kick on me..."

I felt Yoongi shift besides me, the sudden feeling of his thigh against mine. If he noticed it, he didn't say anything.
