Emily's POV
05:30, I read on the clock when my alarm goes off. The spot next to me is still empty. I quickly get out of bed and get dressed in my uniform. I cover my face with make-up so the bruising isn't visible. You can see that my face is swollen but without the bruising it seems a lot less horrible. I do my hair in a high ponytail and make my breakfast.
At 06:15 I am out the door and walking to work. The sun is about to come up and the sky looks absolutly magical.
I stop for a minute and just watch the sky. I don't even notice that a car stops next to me.
"You want a ride?" A familiar voice asks me. I turn around and see Sam is in his car with a coffee and his shades.
"Sure." I got in the car and we drive to work.
''You know, I thought your face was going to look different.'' Sam says.
''Damn it, I should have told my plastic surgeon to get my nose better. Did it really not change that much?'' I say as I look in the mirror and act like a drama queen.
''Ha ha ha.'' Sam claps slowly in his hands. ''You know what I mean, the bruises.''
"That my friend, is called the wonders of make-up."
"Oh you mean that stuff that girls put on there faces to look like clowns." Sam says.
"Well thanks. I have always wanted to look like one. But I guess I already do." I say with sarcasm.
"Sorry I didn't mean it that way." Sam says.
"Didn't you hear the sarcasm in my voice?" I say laughing.
"No not really." He laughs. He pulls in the parking lot of the police station and we walk inside. I sit down at my desk.
''Weaver can you come to my office.'' Sergeant Williams asks. I nod and walk to his office.
''Take a seat.'' He points to a chair and I sit down.
''What can I do for you sir?'' I ask.
''I didn't say that you could come back, have you gone to the doctors yet?'' His face is al serious so I know I shouldn't be messing around right now.
''I am sorry sir and no I haven't gone to the doctors because I am feeling fine. I slept and after that I didn't witness any dizzyness. The only thing left is a bruise.'' I say.
''And I just want to know if you have a concussion, so I suggest that you're going to see a doctor right away and if you have been cleared you can come back. Understand?''
''Yes sir.'' I get up and walk out the door with some anger. I search on my phone the route to the hospital, twenty minute walk.
-------------------------------------- Little time skip.
''Alright you're all done.'' The doctor says.
''So do I have anything or am I clear to go?'' I ask maybe a little more hars then it was supposed to sound.
''You're all clear, no concussion. But a lot of bruizing I see.'' For the examination I had to take of my make-up so the doctor could see everything.
''Yes after the guy hit me with the thing I hit the wall with my head.'' I lie, she probably can see that those bruises or not from a wall but from a fist.
''A wall. Hm interesting.'' She says. ''You know I am not stupid, right?''
''Do you have papers that I can show my boss?'' I ask not wanting to deepen the conversation.
''Yes of course.'' She hands me the papers and I walk back to the station. I walk in and throw the papers on Sergeants Williams desk. He just looks at me surprised. And then I remembered, I don't have to make-up on my face. He can see all the bruises.
I quickly walk to the bathroom but I pass Sam first.
''Holy shit you weren't lying.'' He says.
''What do you mean?''
''Your face, it really looks like an exploded poison.'' He is looking at every bruis, one by one. ''How many times did this guy hit you?''
''First by my eye/nose.'' That would explain the black eye. ''He then got away and in the alley he hit me with I think a pipe on my forehead.''
''But how can this one by here.'' He point at the left side of my face.
''Oh, after he hit me in the alley I threw my head against the wall, I thought that would be fun.'' Stick with the one lie or else you are already lossing this lie.
''Well I wouldn't do it, but tell me was it fun?'' I know he is joking but he looks so serious.
''Yes I loved it, I think I am going to do that again some time. Maybe you should try it.''
''I think I'll pass.'' He sits backdown and I walk to the bathroom. I look in the mirror and see the bruising on my face. They have only gotten worse. I don't have any make-up with me so I can't cover them up. Well everyone has seen them now, so it doesn't really matter anymore. I walk back to my desk and sit down to start working on the report from the incident.
Only five minutes later Sam and I are in the car going to a robbery in a bank. We're send as backup so we're not the first ones on the scene. We get out of the car when we hear gunshots and people screaming from inside the building.
''What happened?'' Sam asks me.
''I don't know.''
We walk to Inspector Williams who's on the Phone with one of the robbers.
''They want to get away with 4 million dollars and a getaway car. They won't listen to me. They have shot someone in the leg. We need to get help in there as soon as possible. Because we can't let them shoot more people. I am going to let them get away and we'll catch them later.'' We nod and Inspector calls to the robbers.
''Is he really going to give them 4 million dollars?'' Sam asks me.
''Yes but we will find them later and then the money can go back from where ever it came from. They already shot someone so he's stressing.'' We can't really do much except keep people behind the tape.
After one hour a call pulls up infront of the entrence of the building and bags with 4 million dollars are in it. The robber quickly get in and drive away. We don't have to follow them because we can follow the car with the tracker. There also are trackers in the bags with money.
-------------------------- A couple days later.
''Weaver and Giles come to my office.'' Inspector Williams tells us. We walk into the office and take a seat.
''Alright, we have found the guys from the bank robbery but we also found out that they probably are into drugs trafficking. This can be a big catch if we do this right. That's why I called you two here. After a lot of discussion we thought it would be best if we send people in, to go undercover. We want it to be you two.'' Sam and I look at each other.
