Chapter III.

JAKE.

I was awakened by the annoying sound of my alarm clock. Ayoko pa sanang bumangon pero ng mapansin ko kung anong oras na,

“sh*t !” I muttered to myself. I immediately get off my bed and went inside the cr to take a bath.

It’s already 9:00 in the morning and my class will start at 9:30. I’m sure malalate ako dahil mahigit 1 oras din ang biyahe ko papuntang school.

Pagkatapos kong maligo at magbihis, I didn’t bother to eat breakfast. Kailangan ko ng magmadali dahil late na ko kaya diretso alis na ko.

I have my own car at pumasok pa ko sa isang driving school para lang matutong magdrive. This car was a gift from my father cause I’m the salutatorian in our batch.

When I entered the room, the professor is now discussing something. Hindi nga ako nagkamali. Late nga ako. And all of their eyes are looking at me. Damn. I hate being the center of attention.

My day went well kahit na nalate ako nung umaga. And now, I’m driving my car papunta sa isang birthday party of one of my closest friend.

Pagdating ko sa bahay nila, kumpleto na ang buong barkada.

“andyan na pala si Jake o” . Mark shouted when he saw me, making the others looked at my direction.

I gave them a smile.

“Pare”  Paul said while putting his hands around my shoulder. He is my closest friend in our group dahil halos pareho kami ng hilig, maliban lang sa taste when it comes to girls. Playboy kasi tong lokong to e. ako naman yung tipong stick to one.

“hay nako late ka na naman” Shane said then she blocked our way while she crossed her both hands.

“hindi yan si Jake pag di siya nalate! Hahaha” Mark Shouted again. Then we all laughed.

“sorry na birthday girl” I said. Umalis ako sa pagkakaakbay sakin ni paul para lapitan siya. “eto ng regalo ko sayo wag ka na magtampo. okay?” then I gave her my gift.

“ Thank you Jake.” And then She hugged me.

“Happy Birthday” I whispered to her while we’re hugging each other.

Reminiscing the past, especially yung mga kalokohang ginawa niyo date will make you laugh to the fullest just like what we are doing now. Bihira nalang ang ganitong moment especially ngayong college na kami, magkakaiba na ang schedule naming not like when we’re still in highschool.

“ano ba Shane, kanina ka pa paikot ikot diyan. Ayaw mong sumali sa kwentuhan bakit ba?” Pia asked Shane, napansin din pala niyang parang wala sa sarili niya tong si shane.

“ha?, wag niyo na kong pansinin. Cge magenjoy lang kayo diyan. Hehe” she said while looking outside, seems like she’s waiting for someone. I don’t know who.

“bakit kasi hindi ka mapakali diyan? Natatae ka no? hahaha” si Paul na trying hard magjoke hahaha.

“hindi no! may inaantay kasi ko. Antagal nga nila e.”  depensa naman ni Shane.

Then out of the blue,biglang nagring ang phone ko. Pagtingin ko, dad is calling.

“wait lang guys, may tawag ako.” I said then I went outside.

Pagkatapos kong makipag-usap kay dad because of some serious matters, bumalik na ko sa loob.
