Chapter 4:
Deep inside the Werewolves forest, Nickameledien sat and relaxed her body at a tree. Now she can see trees and a dim light. She noticed that her consciousness is starting to fade, but she has to take care of her life first. If she sleeps openly, she’ll be attacked for sure. But with four deep wounds that exhaust away her blood, she can’t control her consciousness anymore. She was starting to take her nap when she suddenly heard heavy slithering sound approaching her. “A snere? Oh no, I’ve got to hide.” Nickameledien said to herself then swiftly hid behind the bushes. She saw the large monster crept out of the dark part of the forest. It has large werewolf upper-part and long snake tail lower part, it hissed harshly as blood drips from its left eye which looked like it was torn by sharp claws. Nickameledien could see a small bird hanging to its sharp teeth. Suddenly the snake-like eyes looked at the direction where she’s hiding. She thought they made an eye contact... That was bad... really bad... She felt like she has to run now but just as she’s about to run, the snere popped out in front of her. Too late... The snere hissed angrily, looking at her open fresh wounds. Nickameledien managed to push the snere away just enough to make a way for her to escape. She rushed to the dark part of the forest and the snere followed her. First: a torment-lover Merman, second: A deadly stinking Golem and now: a Dreadful Angry Snere. Nickameledien really felt like she’s dying today for all the misfortunes happening around her.
After a while, Nickameledien and the Snere arrived at the forest’s opening where a wide sea can be seen. Nickameledien can smell the salty water being carried by the wind towards her face. At the corner, the Snere charged to attack Nickameledien. She faced the Snere with trembling body and terrified look, but she dared to close her eyes. The Snere swiftly opened its wide mouth; its sharp fangs flickered in the sunlight. Nickameledien patiently waited for her death, but the truth is she’s scared. Her wounds twitched and hurt so much, her scarlet blood runs trough from these open wounds. She waited until she felt a gentle touch to her face. She opened her eyes and saw the long spiky snow-white hair stroked gently to her cheeks. She saw how the snow-white hair guy brutally defeated the Snere. Black blood coming from the Snere sprinkled like rain, staining the snow-white hair with black. She stared blankly to this mysterious guy, who has grey skin, black shining sclera and bloody red pupils, two white fangs at each of his mouth’s end stained with the Snere’s black blood, A pair of black diabolic horns, a pair of black devil wings and a long snow-white hair also stained by the blood. She could also notice that the guy is small, a kid, perhaps? She knew that it’s a Lamia, a Vampire with the blood of a Dragon, an infamous blood-stained demon of all cohorts. The Lamia stared at her intensely and started to walk towards her. Nickameledien gasped hoarsely and started to tremble even more. She slowly stepped backward and shouted. “Don’t... Don’t come near me...” the mysterious Lamia noticed her extremely trembling voice and started to walk faster “No... No...” Nickameledien’s tears flowed down her bloody cheeks as she knelt down the sand, her strength is completely depleted and she can’t stand anymore. The Lamia finally reached Nickameledien, who’s crying non-stop. “Please... Don’t... I... I just want to be free... from him...” Nickameledien said weakly then she suddenly felt warm and realized that the Lamia is hugging her tightly. “I’m sorry I scared you.” The Lamia said. The sweet voice was familiar, Nickameledien thought. “Who...?” She said “it’s me. It’s me, Hal. It’s okay now. No one will ever hurt you anymore.” The Lamia- Hal- said, Nickameledien cried more at Hal’s warm chest “Don’t cry anymore, Nicka. I promise you, from now on, I will kill anyone who makes you cry or hurts you, so it’s okay now.” Hal said as he pats Nickameledien’s head “I’m scared... I’m so scared, Hal.” Nickameledien said as she cries, at their back, Messiah stared at Nickameledien and slightly nodded her head “Hal.” She called out then Hal released Nickameledien from his hand and turned to face Messiah. “Oh, Messiah. I thought that I lost you somewhere.” Hal said as he reverts back to his human form “do you not trust my sense of smell? Let’s go back, that girl needs medical reception as soon as plausible.” Messiah said “right. Let’s go, Nicka.” Hal said then he carried Nickameledien at his back “so, she’s the girl that you like?” Messiah asked “WHAT?! Quit with the jokes, Messiah.” Hal said as his face turned red “ohoho... You really like her.” Messiah teased “stop that already... Oh, Nicka, you still awake?” Hal asked “mm-hmm.” Nickameledien replied “I know that this isn’t the right time to ask you about this but... Who are you hiding from?” Hal asked hesitantly “the Mersnake King, perhaps?” Messiah disrupted “oh, come on, Messiah, why would she hide from the Mersnake King?” Hal said “no...” Nickameledien suddenly said “she’s right... I’m hiding from the Mersnake King.” She added “why?” Hal asked “He’s...” Nickameledien began “her father.” Messiah finished, Hal stopped from walking and turned to look at Nickameledien “Your... father?” Hal asked curiously “yes, her father. She’s the one and only successor of the Mersnake King’s throne.” Messiah said “how... did you know... that much?” Nickameledien asked as she leaned her head to Hal’s back “I saw him once... He’s carrying his three-year-old daughter that time. I noticed your face, very identical to his one and only daughter. He’s a sweet caring father, why would you run away from him?” Messiah said as she started to walk then Hal followed “he suddenly changed and killed everyone that I’m close with. He forced me to take on his throne as soon as possible.” Nickameledien replied “okay... Enough with your conversations... Nicka, go on and take a rest.” Hal interrupted “Hal, can’t you understand that she’s an enemy among all enemies?” Messiah said “Messiah... Let’s talk about that later.” Hal said, gazing angrily at Messiah. Messiah whimpered and bowed her head, she knows how Hal gets angry, and in fact she really experienced the fury of their little prince Hal.
