"Who's my mom?"
Douglas' mouth dropped. "You really don't remember..." He murmured.
"Remember what?"
Before he could answer, Allison bolted out of the room and narrowly avoided a sedate to the arm. She thudded against the wall but kept running, even with her broken leg dragging behind. She didn't risk looking back.
"Get her!" Dr. Soren yelled. Nurses popped their heads out of rooms a few doors ahead. They flinched when Allison zoomed by.
She thudded past more rooms, and came across a dead end. She turned around, panting, to see Dr. Soren, Douglas, and a few nurses running after her.
She hissed to give a warning, and whipped her tail in front of her. They stopped about 10 feet away from her, hesitating. Her diamond-shaped scales finally came out, because they were purple and blue, and she looked even more dangerous.
"Why are you running?" Douglas asked. She didn't say anything, mostly because she was trying to catch her breath, but there was a faraway and cloudy look in her eyes.
Silence filled the air for a whole five minutes. Then someone decided to break it, even though it was faint to hear.
"Dad?"
Allison furrowed her eyebrows and tossed her head away from the others, who were looking at her. She glanced around, trying to figure out where her dad's voice was coming from.
"...the heck...?" Douglas was staring at her, confused. Dr. Soren was thinking the same thing. Douglas slid over to stand next to him, and whispered, "is she on drugs or what?" which got him a hard stare.
Allison sat back on her hind legs, well, leg, and her head was no longer trying to look around. She was staring at the ground, concentrating on what weird things were going on in her head.
Are you hearing this?
Uhh, yeah?
Well then good, this took forever to set up. There's bad connection in here.
Who is this, are you Dad?
Mhm.
Oh, ok.
Come over to the dungeon building, let's talk.
Uhh, kinda busy right now.
With what?
Well, I'm running around in a hospital-looking place and I almost got stabbed with a needle, and according to Adam I have surgery today?
Wait what?
Uh, yeah. Surgery today.
Grr why didn't Douglas tell me...
Wait... Who's Douglas?
He's the asshole keeping me locked up. And he'll probably lock you up, too.
Oh.
