In the weeks after the game, me and Damian have gotten really close.  He is a cool person to be around, and a really great friend. I can actually say that I have a small crush on him.  The thing that is killing me inside us that I never told Georgia about us.  I know I should tell her, but I want to wait until the right time.  I know she is gonna be pissed that I kept it from her.  Speaking of Georgia, she walked into the kitchen. "Good morning" she said.  I noticed she was wearing her work uniform. "Good morning. You have work today?" "Naw, I just think the uniform is cute" she replied sarcastically.  "Hey, don't use sarcasm on me, that's my thing."  "Sorry. I just really don't wanna go to work today.  Kiera has been on my ass lately and Isaiah will not stop flirting with me."  She works at Red Lobster.  Its not like she hates her job, its just she hates the people she works with. "You can always quit." "I know but I need the money to keep up with rent." She grabbed her keys and started to walk out.  "Alright nessa, I'll see you later." "Bye, don't get into any fights"  "No promises", she said walking out the door.  I shook my head and laughed.  So, now I'm all alone with nothing to do.  I decided to go to the park and play some basketball.  I put on my black tank top, dark blue shorts, and black and white sneakers.  I put my hair in a ponytail and walked out the door.  When I got to the park, I saw four guys playing a pickup.  Since no one else was there, I asked them "Can I play?" One of them looked at me and looked me up and down.  "I don't know can you play?" His friends started snickering behind him. "Why don't you play me and find out" I said snatching the ball from his hand.

*AFTER THE GAME*

We played up to 70.  I'm not going to go into detail about the game, but I will say I BEAT SOME ASS! The score was 70-45.  They must have thought that I was just a pretty face and I couldn't play.  "I think what we learned here today is to never underestimate a girl, but more importantly, never underestimate me" I said smilling.  The guys were pretty cool about it.  "Make sure you come back sometime.  I would love to have a rematch" the guy, whose name is Corey, said.  "Definetly."  After the guys left, I decided to shoot the basketball a little. I took the first shot and it bounced off the rim.  I went to go get it, but someone already had picked it.  "I think this belongs to you" the guy said smilling. "Hey Dame."  "What's up? I know you told me you played basketball, but you never told me you were that good." "Oh, i guess you watched the game.  What are you doing at the park anyway?"  "What? A person can't just walk to the park?" I lightly shoved him (but he didn't go far, considering how big he is). "But seriously, why did you come to the park?" "I always come down here to check out the games. So today, I saw a girl playing against a guy. I wanted to see what was gonna happen, so I sat on a bench and watched.  I was thinking that girl looks so familiar, only to find out it was my friend Vanessa.  We definetly have to play sometime." I laughed and shook my head. "No. Your a pro basketball player. Playing a game against you would be like playing horse with Kevin Durant.  It would be damaging to my self-esteem."  Dame chuckled and said "Do you have any plans for today?"  'No. Georgia went to work today, so I nothing to do."  "Do you want to come hang out at my house?" "Sure but I have to go home and change and shower."  "Come on. I'll drive you back."  We got into his car and I told him the directions to my house. While driving, he asked me "So, when will I meet Georgia? Don't tell me you still haven't told her yet." "You will meet her soon.  I'm waiting for the right time to tell her.  I know she is gonna be pissed that I didn't tell her."  "I think you should just tell her." I looked at him and said "How can I tell my best friend that I know and am friends with her favorite basketball player?  Not only that, but that I've been keeping it a secret for a month now." "Damn, its been a month already?" "I know, it doesn't seem like it. Anyway, that would be like me telling you that I know Halle Berry."  He looked at me with a serious look on his face. "You don't know Halle Berry, right?" "No, I was using that as a example. If I knew her I would tell you." "I don't know.  You say that but you didn't tell Georgia about me." "Shut up Damian.  Anyway, I will tell her...eventually" I said as we pulled up to my apartment building.  We walked inside my apartment. "Make yourself at home.  I'm gonna go shower and change real quick."  I took a 10 minute shower and changed into my black jeans, blue t-shirt and black Converse high tops. I walked out of the bathroom to see Damian in my room looking at my trophies. "Most of them are from track and basketball" I said making him jump a little. "You played basketball on varsity all four years of high school?" "Yep. I was the first freshman to start on varsity in my school's history."  "Impressive. So are you ready to go?" "Yea. Lets go." We walked back out to his car and drove to his house.
