After a long, hard, three week journey, Aragorn was weary. The only thing that propelled him forward was the knowledge that his love was there, in Mirkwood. As the dark green forest and it's wooden arch came into view, Aragorn sighed in relief.
I am coming, meleth. He thought determinedly. Aragorn knew that he would fight a thousand giant spiders to see Legolas again, just once more. He wanted to see the blonde elf's beautiful face, to kiss his soft lips and caress his golden hair. He wanted to wake up next to him every day for the rest of his days.
Aragorn was so completely in love. The only person that mattered now was Legolas.
Clip clop! Clip clop! Brego's soft stride echoed peacefully through the forest. Once there was evil there, but it had gone now and Mirkwood was tranquil and beautiful.
If he was asked, he would move there in a heartbeat to be with his elven angel.
An ornately carved bridge caught his eye and Aragorn turned Brego towards it. The faster that he could get back to Legolas, the better.

A thudding knock resounded through Legolas' room. He has holed himself up for over two weeks now, wallowing in grief and pining for his dear Aragorn. A visitor was not something he wanted to welcome."Sorry, but I don't want any visitors," the elf called softly.
Legolas' father's voice startled him. "ion-nîn, you might want to come outside. There's someone here who has travelled a long way to see you,"
A rush of excitement rushed through the blonde elf as he realised that it could be Aragorn, but he quenched it immediately. Why would Aragorn come to see him? What about Arwen?
"Legolas, don't make me force you out of there," his father's voice rang out again. The young elf sat up resignedly and made his way across his room to the door. He took the small iron key from around his neck and unlocked the door.
Legolas' heart was pounding as he swung it back slowly. Was it him? Had Aragorn come to see him?
There was only one figure stood in the doorway - and Thranduil was no where in sight. With an overjoyed leap, Legolas flung himself in to the arms of the one and only man that he had and would ever love. Soon the two men were both crying happily as Aragorn cupped the blonde elf's face in his rough hands.
Their eyes connected. The pure, passionate love lingering in that one look was enough to fill a lifetime. Slowly, Aragorn pressed his lips to Legolas', savoring the feeling of the elf's lips and mentally implanting it in his memory. It was a moment neither wanted to forget.
The lovers embraced passionately. The warmth and love seeping through their veins. They were two parts of a whole and with each other missing they were not complete - not able to function.
From the corner, Thranduil watched the couple, smiling happily. He had never seen his son so contented.
It's a bit longer I guess - I can't write long chapters as I am not great at progressing the story. I write a lot of 'feelings' and stuff and after a while I can't write anymore.
QOTC: Favourite film?
AOTC: oh, that's really hard. Probably Pride and Prejudice, LOTR (of course) or the first Pirates of the Caribbean.
