It's 1993, late night, I'm waiting on the side of the street. For something, someone.
"Please, would you please spare some change?" I asked holding a cup up to a crowd, I looked down and set the cup down on the ground sighing depressingly.

I looked at the sky and closed my eyes, I stood up scooping the change out of my cup and leaving the cup on the ground, I walked to the pier.

I walked along the beach with the change in my pocket jingling as I walked every step, I looked off at the moon that was in a crescent shape. I felt a tear wielding up in my left eye, I quickly blinked it away, I looked straight up and stared up at the stars and walked forward without watching where I was going.

---Present.

"Come on Anastasia." It was Hugh, I was playing football, also known as soccer in some places with him and Millard. I couldn't stop thinking about how horrid my life was before this, I had just arrived about three or four months ago, It took awhile to understand all that was going on in this world but I eventually got ahold of it.

"Alright Hugh, Where's Millard?" I asked him, He looked to the right and I sighed.

"Are you naked Mill?" I asked him, I heard a small cough,

"Yes..." He spoke out, I pointed at the house and I could hear steps walking toward the house, I giggled.

"Why does he insist on being naked all the time?" I asked Hugh, He just shrugged before walking over to the football and picking it up.

"I'm going to go check on Emma real quick." I said before walking over to the tree Emma was putting the baby squirrel in, Enoch was helping her by holding onto the rope, I smiled.

"Hey." I said, Enoch was still unfamiliar toward me and didn't say anything back, I smiled bitterly.

"What do you want?" He asked focused on Emma, I looked to the side and sighed.

"N-Never mind, I'll leave you alone." Was all I said walking away back to Hugh and Millard who was indeed now fully clothed.

"Don't worry, He's always like that." Millard spoke, I nodded depressingly, It seemed besides him everyone else accepted me here besides that one..

"I know, It's just... I don't understand why he doesn't even talk to me without being mean.." I spoke to no one general.

"He'll become nice eventually, now let's play." He said again, I smiled and nodded. The ref was of course Horace.

"Alright, Now you all know the rules." He spoke I giggled as I kicked the ball around with the other two.

"Millard, go put some clothing on. We do not dine in the nude." Miss Peregrine spoke up at the dinner table, It was another time today Mill didn't put his clothing on. I shook my head as steps walked to the door and opened it.

I looked around and noticed everyone was talking to one and another. I sighed and looked at my lap and then back at my plate. There was about half the food on my plate as the others. I cannot eat as much as them because then I get sick after not eating for so long.

I took the fork in to my hand and pressed down on the large carrot and took a bite of it from the fork, I looked up at the others once again taking all of this in.

"So what did you do in your free time Anastasia." Miss Peregrine asked, I looked at her and shrugged.

"I mostly hanged around my room and read my book." I said, everyone was silent looking at me. I awkwardly smiled, Miss Peregrine only smiled, I looked back at my plate, today I think it was Emma's turn to clean up the table,
