Hey, Black Panther fans! I hope you all enjoy this book!
Y/N'S POV
I bowed to my mother and she smiled warmly at me.
She said,"Y/N, you know your father would have been proud of you."
I sent her a weak smile, just at the thought of my father. It had been so hard without him, and I knew it was even harder for T'Challa, my older brother, and my younger sister, Shuri.
Out of the three of us, T'Challa was the closest to our father. The past king of Wakanda. Now, T'Challa was up for taking the throne. I was thankful Wakanda had someone like my brother, but he seemed different lately.Mother noticed me deep in thought and asked me,"Y/N, what is it?"
I apologized and looked her in the eyes saying,"Nothing, mother. I wish to go check on Shuri or T'Challa."
Mother nodded to me and I hugged her, before I was stopped by Okoye. She was one of the fiercest warriors you could ever meet, yet she was the most loyal friend a woman could ask for.
Okoye and I did our handshake, before I asked her,"How's T'Challa and Shuri?"
Okoye motioned for me to follow her; I obeyed.
I walked with her through the halls and she explained to me,"All right, but Shuri can be better. It will just take some time. Your brother, I'm afraid I haven't seen him. I will leave that to you, princess."
I smiled and Okoye bowed to me, before I watched her go. I saw Shuri working on some tech for T'Challa, which was very exotic if you asked me.
Now, I had to find T'Challa. Where could he be?I searched for quite sometime, yet I was unsuccessful on finding my brother. I began to worry for him and his health; especially, since I could feel his worry for Wakanda every single day.
Wakanda was not as profitable, but Mother, T'Challa, Shuri, Okoye, and I have tried our very best to keep the ends together. This country needed some guidance, and I had no doubt T'Challa would protect everyone.Once I found him, he was looking out towards the sunset.
I chuckled and said,"Evening, brother. Planning on taking a vacation?"
T'Challa chuckled deeply and turned to face me.
He sent me a smile and said,"No. I have no time for vacations, dear sister. However, I do remember you telling me you would take one, yet here you are. Why is that?"
I admitted to T'Challa,"This country is still suffering. I can't just take a vacation. Plus..What are those?" (Sorry..Had to..Loved that part of the movie..lol)
I was referring to T'Challa's shoes and he laughed, before he asked me,"What else is on your mind, Y/N?"
I sat down and T'Challa sat beside me.
I looked him in the eyes and said,"I just wanted to make sure you were okay."
T'Challa nodded and sighed saying,"Y/N, I've been thinking lately about father. What he would have wanted me to do, but I'm lost. I'm not fit to be king."
I rested my hand on T'Challa's knee and admitted to him,"Of course you're not, T'Challa, but that's okay. You're new to this. Father had some difficulties of his own, and I know you will master how to do the greater good for your people. Our people. If father were here, I know for a fact that he would have been proud of all of us."
Tears formed in my eyes, but I pushed them away. T'Challa pulled me in for a side hug and I let my tears fall, not caring if T'Challa saw them either.
T'Challa placed a kiss on my forehead and said,"Don't worry, my sister. We're in this together. We'll watch over Wakanda. For our father."
