The Invitation

" Mackenzie!" I hear Jasmine yell. I roll my eyes, but smile. She runs into my home office. " You will never believe what is in this envelope." she states breathlessly.

"A once in a life time chance to do something completely and utterly awesome for summer?" I say mockingly as she had had done this ever since we all had became roommates. Jasmine, Sarah, Lana, and me ,Mackenzie. She rolls her eyes very dramatically.

"Well...yeah... but this one you'll enjoy. It's an invitation to The Reynold's Ranch!" She eyes me pleadingly.

"We will talk about it at dinner. I have work to finish." I sigh out. She smiles and walks out, happy I hadn't said no right away. The Reynold's Ranch is a place the three of them have been wanting to go to since... well... since I met them. Now they have an opportunity to go, as long as I help financially. I know they need money or Jasmine wouldn't have come to ask to go.

Once I'm done with work, I head to the living room. They are all gathered speaking excitedly about the ranch. How they really want to go and what not. I cough to clear my throat.

"How much?" I ask. I was always in charge of money. It is my strong suit.

"We don't really know. It just tells us to come to the ranch with enough clothes for the summer. They suggest to get riding gear and bringing a lot of sun screen." explains Lana. 

" I'll see if I can get that much time off of work. If I can, we will go. If not..." I start, but don't get a chance to finish. 

"OMG! WE ARE SO GOING!" Sarah squeals and jumps up and down with Jasmine. Lana soon joins them, while I just sit back and laugh. I order some pizza while the girls are still freaking about the ranch. My oh my... they know just how to get what they want outta me.
