Fossegrim stares in front of him as he and Huldra make their way to a boat marina on the outskirts of Angelholm where one of Huldra's friends owns an old fishing boat that they can use. With his head tilted slightly down he continued to stare out the front window, his dark hair hung in his face as his thoughts grew darker and darker, his body radiated the very same darkness that flooded into his mind and gave him an aura almost anyone sensitive enough could feel. Every once in a while Huldra would glance over at him trying to see if his tension lessened. He eventually caught on that she kept looking over at him; he turned his eyes over at her for a split second and then turned them back to the road, "Stop staring at me, please, I'm fine, just keep driving," his voice low and eyes as dark as a storm cloud. Huldra didn't buy what he said but, she knew it would be beneficial that she listen and didn't push.
Paige's eyelids fluttered open, she was laying on her back against something cold and assumed it was something metallic. She tried to move around and could feel pressure around her ankles and wrists, she looked at her wrists and then her ankles and could see that they were both fastened by zip ties that looped into what she realized is a mortician's table that she is laying on.
Paige started trying to see if there were in weakness, then she heard the door behind her open. Paige turned her in the direction of the noise and could see a glimpse of Antonella's white dress and could hear the heavy footsteps of a man somewhere off to her left behind her."Hello my dear niece,"
Paige glared at her as Antonella approached her right side.
"You see, your uncle wasn't related to your adoptive parents, he was actually a relative of your mom, my sister,"She picked up some type of torture tool and showed it to the man in front of the door. The man shook his head so Antonella put it down.
"You see, my sister strayed from the path of righteousness like so many in our bloodline, a shame really, the potential she held. Sadly, she was so far gone like our mother that not even my father could liberate them, he just let them be. Me and my two older brothers on the other hand along with our grandparents did not let their sins wash over the rocks of God."
"God wouldn't want you to murder innocent people, that's not his way."
"Paige darling, no. Anyway, one of my brothers took over our beautiful cult when our grandmother passed away while me and the brother you killed led missions to sniff out and punish those convicted of evil."
"But, enough of this, you have to pay for what you've done, your belongings will make a fine addition to our trophy room, I'm thinking about putting them right next your aunt and mom's shelves. And, just to let you know this little session of ours will take place every few hours."
Paige closed her eyes and leaned her head back tears filling her eyes.Antonella started up a power drill and shoved it unmercifully into Paige's right knee cap.
Paige's screams bounced off of the sound proof walls so no one could hear as the torture continued. Finally, Fossegrim and Huldra arrived at the Angelholm docks and boarded the boats deck. Huldra pulled the keys from her pocket and started the boat up and pulled out and headed towards The Island of the Old World.
Fossegrim stood out on the back deck hoping Paige was still alive. He didn't know what he would find when he and Huldra arrived on the island. From what Huldra told him it is an island that is shrouded by a powerful glamour preventing humans from seeing it and wrecking into it as well. The cult must be here where else could that injured woman be talking about.About two hours later Fossegrim could since something was off he could see that his companion felt the same thing she was looking around and smelling the air as she drove.
