"Tae.I'm not letting you take over again. The last time you did you tried to change the entire costume department's dress code.It took me weeks to get people to stop teasing me for it."She glanced in the mirror hanging above the sinks of the girl's locker room, glaring at the semi-transparent form pacing just behind her.The young man ran a hand through his hair, stopping just behind her to grin goofily at her as he ran a quick hand through his hair again.
The spirit had been with her for so long she didn't even mind when people came in and found her talking to herself. Most by now just tossed it up as a quirk of hers that she usually just attributed to rehearsing lines for whatever play her students may be putting on at the time. But that never stopped Taehyung from playing tricks on her or taking her body over to cause all sorts of fashion corrections to her wardrobe or those that managed to stay friends with her.Her best living friend actually enjoyed it, saying the fashionista inside was the better part of her when she needed help for a date.
"Come on y/n, we both know that top and those pants do NOT go together."The spectral male crossed his arms over his chest, a self-satisfied smirk on his face as the young woman stared down thoughtfully at her clothes. She'd decided to wear a sensible button-down shirt and a pair of dark dress slacks for the semi-formal occasion. The school was hosting a new student orientation and as the head teacher of the drama department, she'd been required to attend in order to ensure the tours went on without a hitch.
"I don't get it Tae, what's the problem with how I'm dressed?I'm a teacher, sensible and formal is how I'm supposed to be dressed when it comes to orientation tours."She frowned in the mirror, tugging at the hem of her shirt to readjust it self consciously.
"But that's just it!You're young, you're hot!Men would pay good money to see you dress your age.And besides, are you really going to tell me that you don't want to dress up for Hoseok Hyungnim."Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows in the mirror, a boxy grin dancing on his lips.
The woman groaned, resting her hands on the bathroom's counter as her eyes wandered over the bare minimum makeup she'd applied to her face before leaving her apartment. She hadn't given much thought to it, hoping to avoid her crush altogether by keeping busy."It's Hoseok Sunbaenim...and I do care.I just...wan't sure if I'd have the stomach to actually approach him, let alone talk to him confidently today..."
Taehyung leaned in beside her, causing goosebumps to rise on her skin where his incandescent form brushed against her arm."Girl...you are smoking hot.If I were alive, I'd have gone after you years ago.The man is either blind or dumb as hell for having not noticed you before."He smirked, licking his lips as his ghostly handmade as if to smack her rear end.It passed through her, sending a chill to rush up her spine.Though she didn't feel an actual hit the effect was apparent none the less. She squealed, smacking ineffectively at his hand, though a smile edged at the corner of her lips.
"Listen noona, I've got a bag of makeup stashed in the bottom drawer of your desk and I can guarantee there is an outfit I can work within the costume department.Give me 20 minutes and I'll have you looking like the teacher of every school boy's wet dreams."He pouted, sticking out his lower lip and batting his eyelashes at her cutely. She sighed, pushing away from the counter and turning to him.
"Alright Tae,20 minutes. But that's all you get."The young man whooped happily, jumping up into the air excitedly before reaching out to her chest."And nothing too slutty I don't want to get fired you hear me?"
She shivered as the ghostly figure entered her body.It felt similar to dunking her entire body in a freezing cold lake. Her mind went numb as Taehyung began the process of taking her over. She lost all feeling in her limbs and would have fallen if he hadn't acted quickly, tensing her leg muscles to prevent the fall and leaning against the counter as the process was completed. As he began to make his way out of the bathroom and to the drama classroom she allowed her mind to wander, no longer having to worry about keeping up appearances, knowing that Taehyung wouldn't do anything to fully embarrass her or get her in trouble.
Her mind flashed back to the first time this had happened, early in their initial time together. She'd been in middle school and having a particularly rough time with of it with a bully,an older girl who'd been held back and in an act of bitterness had decided to take it out on the younger girl. The bullying had started off midle, dumb letters left at her desk and incidents of tripping and cat calling in hallways as she walked past. But it'd quickly escalated to rougher handling and harsher name calling, much of it comments on her looks or love of reading classic poetry during down time in class. Then one day the bully had taken it too far.Tae'd tailed her to school just to see what she was being taught when the bully and her friends had cornered her by herself in an empty stairwell. They'd caught her talking to Taehyung, though it seemed to them as if she were talking to herself and began calling her names, yanking roughly at her hair and clothes and slapping and hitting her. When one of the girls had ripped her shirt, exposing her young skin to the world and then kicked her to the ground the rest of the group had descended on her, punching and kicking her brutally.
Taehyung lost it,swiping at them with his ghostly hands and struggling desperately to save his young friend.Suddenly he'd stopped moving, glaring down at the situation before reaching his hand between the girls and right into her chest. It'd happened so quickly she couldn't even remember clearly what took place. But once she'd regained control of her body it was very clear that Tae had handled the situation as only a spirit could. The bullies were scattered in the stairwell,in various states of beat the hell up as her body stood above the initial aggressor, her knuckles bloodied and her body bruised but in no uncertain terms victorious.
After that the girls left her alone, citing that she was insane and labeling her a social pariah until she'd graduated through to high school and beyond. Tae and herself had gotten much closer. She allowed him access to her body every now and again so that he could re-experience the feeling of being alive as well as protecting her should the need arise. He'd rarely left her side since, citing that it was safer for her if she had a little otherworldly help from time to time, though she knew deep down that the real reason was that he was afraid to lose his only connection to the living should anything happen to her.
She mentally sighed, knowing her body was in good hands and yet she could feel a sense of mental anxiety beginning to take over.Taehyung had grabbed the makeup bag and was currently in the drama room expertly applying eyeshadow to create a smokey eye look that complimented the slim fitted azure dress he'd found. The neckline of the dress hung low, showing just enough cleavage to draw attention to herself but not enough to be considered inappropriate.A slit began at the hem of the dress, creeping up her left calf and stopping just above her knee. She wasn't exactly uncomfortable but it definitely wasn't something she'd have chosen for herself without Tae's help.
Tae smirked in the mirror, the look he gave causing her face to seem far sexier than she'd have made it."Alright princess, you ready to go bag yourself a prince charming?"Her voice came out slightly huskier than normal,a side effect of having Taehyung in control.
"As ready as I'll ever be."She mumbled as she regained control over her body and smoothed the dress down her sides, flashing herself a nervous smile as she steeled her nerves in preparation of facing her soon to be students.
