We all have secrets,

Some big,

Some small,

But Dean had a secret that would change it all.

Dean was the type of guy who didn’t care what other people thought of him. Although there was a lot that people thought about him. He didn’t care that people made fun of his shoulder length black hair that covered half of his face, he didn’t care when people made fun of his height and called him “Munchkin” and he didn’t care when people called him a freak because he liked classic rock and Star Trek. There was only one thing that he cared about. His brother. His brother, Sam, was the only family he had left. Sam was 4 years younger than Dean and was tall with strawberry blonde hair, brown eyes and an amazing smile. Whereas Dean was short, had black hair, mint green eyes and never smiled. Sometimes it was hard to believe that they were even related.

“Where's dad?” Sam asked Dean.

Dean was sitting in front of the fire reading the newspaper. This was the same thing he did every night when he came home.

“On one of his hunting trips” Dean replied not taking his eyes off the newspaper.

For Sam and Dean their dad not being around was the most normal thing ever. They had gotten used to coming home to an empty house.

“Oh ok then” Sam responded.

He felt no point in asking when he would be back as no-one ever knew. Thier dad would leave one day and then come back sometime later. It could be days, weeks or even months before he was back home.
