It all started the day delilah had a phone call. One of those phone calls you would never think you would get... ever. Delilah picked up the phone and said, "Hello"
"Mrs.Watson?... Is this Mrs.Watson?"
"Well it used to be but I got married. Who is this?" Delilah said.
"This is the Sapphire Hospital. We are here to ennsure you that your sister Leah Watson was checked into to the hospital today at 3:21 pm and she personally asked us to call you. Hello are you there Mrs.Watson?"
"Yes I'm sorry what happened?" Delilah asked eagerly.
"I'm sorry to say but the hopital regulations say we can not give any information over the phone .You have to come to the hospital in person for all the details."
"I'll be there in half an hour" Delilah said worried.
Delilah rushed to her closet, threw on some reasonable clothes, got Louie into his carseat, started the car and was on her way to her best friends house. Delilah knocked on Trixie's door "Hey girl whats up. You didn't tell me you was coming over." Trixie said, surprised
"I'm so sorry can you watch Louie for a few hours" Delilah begged.
"Yeah for sure. What's wrong.... Oh is it Leah? Is she okay? " Trixie said as she switched her happy face to a worried one.
"I don't know all the details because the hospital wants me to go up there in person. So you can watch Lou for a few hours?"
Trixie said, " Yeah girl hurry go on and call me if you want me to watch louie overnight. I have no problem with it."
Delilah said, " Thanks so much." as she handed over louie and his diaper bag to Trixie.
Delilah ran to her car because it started to rain. As she started the car, she looked over at Trixie holding Louie and waved goodbye. Before she stepped on the gas pedal she waited a few seconds and then was on her way to Sapphire hospital.
Delilah knew were the hospital was. It was like a memory or direction stuck in her head forever. Delilah pulled into the hospital parking lot and was looking for a spot to park her car. She saw headlights and she knew they was leaving, so she waited for them to back up. As they drove off she pulled in and parked. She didn't grab nothing but her jacket and ran to the entrance of the Sapphire hopistal.
Delilah stood there. "Hey Delilah im sorry about your sister."
"Can you tell me what happened?" Delilah asked.
"Yeah just sign in and I'll show you to her room." The nurse said as she gave Delilah a form.
As Delilah filled out the form that the nurse gave her. Nurse Rosemary said, "Well she was at her apartment and she collapsed. She had her phone on her so she dialed 911 and we got there just in time. Its what kemo does."
As nurse Rosemary finished what she was saying they had finally made it to Leah's room.
