The Journey

It's 7 am, bright and early as you and the leader in the mirror head out. You're wondering how in the wide world did someone manage to get themselves stuck in mirrors. Well, you reason, at least he's not alone, he's got 6 other guys with him. You're brain is on overload as you try to process exactly how this happened.

You get into your car and carefully place your makeup mirror on the dashboard and arrange it so the man can see both you and the road. You can feel the stagnant air tense with the anticipation of the journey you're about to take. Not exactly a journey... more of a  rescue mission. You sit up taller in your seat, yes! A rescue mission! You always dreamed of being a superhero when you were a kid, who didn't?

You start the engine and look to your makeup mirror. He looks at you with a grave expression and nods at you, you nod back and start driving to the place they showed you on the map.

2 hours later

Man! This road is long! It took forever but you finally made it to the point they showed you. You pull out Mark and write,

So... I have to walk the rest?

The man looks kind of sorry as he nods, he gestures towards the map. You pick it up and hold it towards the mirror. He points towards some rocks marked by the map in a sort-of triangle shape.

Well that's just great. It looks like a cult meeting place. You voice, well, write your concerns out. He starts smiling and his dimples come out as he laughs and shakes his head. That, at least, is good that you don't have to worry about being ambushed and have your blood sacrificed to some demonic being.

You have the car pulled over on the side of the road, since the place they showed you is in the middle of nowhere and the middle of a road. You get out of the car with the makeup mirror. He looks, apprehensive... as if he knows something bad will happen. Which it won't, you assure yourself. Positivity is the key to success as your Grandma used to say, to which of course your Grandpa would replay with, positivity is the key to poverty. You miss them, it's been a while since you called them and you make a note to do that asap, as they may think you were wiped off the surface of the Earth with an asteroid.

There's a faint deer path going into the forest and all you can think about is how dangerous it is to go into unknown forests on unmarked trails. You step onto the path, armed with only a map, an adorable man who happens to be stuck in a mirror and your wits. Oh! And of course Mark your trusty notebook.
