"Why did it take you so long?" Mary scolds me, rolling her eyes with yet an amused emotion.

"I got caught up in a giant philosophical term. I'm telling you I couldn't get out of it!"

"Question, what is a 'philosophical term' and why were you stuck in it?"

"He made me."

"Didn't quite answer my question, there."

"Oh, sorry I forgot not everyone talks philosophy."

"So..."

"So what happened was he was basically was being a jerk while answering questions incorrectly."

"So that made him a jerk?"

"You had to be there."

"Obviously." Mary furrows her eyebrows, "Um I think I should head now. I have lots of chores this weekend."

"Okay."

"Ditto." Madelyn laughs, standing up and turning to throw away her foil and cup.

"Alright ladies, I'll see you Monday," when they aren't paying attention I turn to look out the window and see Louis waving me over and I can't help but smile and nod, "I'll head too."

"Okay, see you guys." Madelyn says, leaving followed by Mary and as soon as there out of sight I get up and walk down the street to Louis. In the same spot, with the same ear buds in.

"So you came back." Louis gestures his hand to the seat next to him and I take it. Too close though so I scoot to the right in a casual way. He takes offense to that and shrugs it off.

"Yeah."

"They always come back for me."

"Wow, clever."

"No, correct statement."

"Oh man we're getting back into that fashion of talking."

"You like it though don't lie."

"No, Louis, I'm 50-50 with this way."

"But that 50% tells me you at least like it a bit."

"There's the other half though that cannot stand you." I pull my feet up onto the bench so I sit criss-cross facing him, "You're annoying."

"Thank you."

"I was joking."

"I know you weren't. Cool it. I'm fine. Because I can return the insult and say you're rude."

"We're balanced but yet I still take incredible offense to that."

"You said you don't mind you're rude."

"I never said anything about not minding be called rude."

"You had no reaction the first time I called you that."

"It feels worse this time."

"I'm sensing that you like me and that's the reason why."

"Okay seriously. Conceded."

"No I think conceded isn't the best word for that," He tilts his head, "Truth."

"Why are you talking like this? Tell me again."

"Elle, I'm just not feeling it today."

"And so when you're not you you talk like someone who has visited Wonderland."

"I'd say so. Based on your theory it occurs to me though that Wonderland may not be the right place."

"Then what is the right place?"
