Shawn didn't tell me the name of the restaurant because I probably would have turning into a sobbing mess if he did.

He took me to The Mara, aka the last time I wore this suit, aka the last time I had dinner with my grandma before she passed. I loved this place and the memories here were always enough to bring me to tears. I hadn't been in so long because I felt like I'd mess them up, replacing the old memories with new ones. Grandma used to take L.J and I here every second Tuesday of the month. Without fail...

"We can go someplace else if you want," Shawn said once we've been sitting in car for a solid five minutes. "L.J just suggested the place and I liked their menu,"

"It's fine," I say kind of glad L.J didn't give him any details as to why she suggested the place. I didn't have time for any pity.

Getting out of the car Shawn followed.

Another two minutes and we would've missed our reservation.

"Palaski for two," Shawn said to the hostess once we got inside.

"Ah right this way sir," the woman said with a smile as she lead us to our table.

We were sat right near the water fountain where all the flower petals streamed down from. It was just as beautiful as I remembered it.

"This is—," I breathed. "Overwhelming, but the good kind,"

Shawn exhaled heavily. "Whew, you had me going for a second,"

Laughing lightly I couldn't help be notice how nervous he was as well. Glad to know I wasn't the only one.

"Are you guys ready to order?" Our waiter came over.

We hadn't even looked at the menus yet but I knew exactly what I wanted and I knew what was good so I decided to order for him.

"For me, the Mushroom Asiago Chicken, and for my lovely date let's get him the Tortellini Pasta Carbonara," I conclude with a smirk. "Oh and two waters please,"

"Will that be all?" The waiter asked as he wrote our items down on his notepad.

"Yes," I say firmly as the waiter nodded before going off to place our orders.

Shawn had one of those cocky smiles plastered on his face.

"What?" I jested fiddling with my tie.

"Nothing," he said shaking his head, but yet that smile still hadn't faded. "By the way you look really good with your hair up,"

"So what I look ugly with it down?" I joke using a little water from the fountain to splash him.

"Yup that's exactly what I'm saying," he laughed splashing me back.

"I'm glad I came out with you tonight," I admit it of the blue. "I really am,"

"Me too," he spoke reaching his hand out on the table so that he could connect it with mine. He was so soft and sweet.

When the waiter finally came with our food we had talked about so much. I did end up telling him about the whole Grandma situation when he had asked how I knew what to order without looking at the menu. I strictly told him not to pity me and he gave me his word that he wouldn't. We talked about how he actually had a crush on me since last year but was too chicken to do anything. He said he probably wouldn't have did anything this year if it weren't for L.J and Avery. He might come off as nonchalant and confident, but when it came to me he could never muster up the courage to say anything. That truly amazed me because I never knew, I'm so clueless.
