People cause pain. Human beings cause pain.
it's our nature. He will hurt you at some point, but what you do after it, is your decision. You decide. He will beg and plead for you to forgive and forget. But we all know it's not possible to forget. You will and may forgive, but even if you push it to the very back corner of your mind, you will one day remember what he did. You will think " well could he have or will he do it again?" it will be in the back of your mind every time you look at him.
