The gymnasium drew silent. The bear that referred to itself as Monokuma had presented a situation so unlikely, I thought I was in a dream.

Monokuma? Headmaster? I had no idea what any of that meant. I felt a cold shiver run down my spine as I tried to grasp any of this. Some Ultimate Talents are definitely out of the ordinary but a talking plush toy was when I crossed the line.

"What are you?!" I asked aggressively.

"Y-yeah," Julius added, "what kind of toy is this?"

"I am no toy!" Monokuma roared, "I am Monokuma!"

"Why are we here?" Amelia spoke up, "you-I mean, whoever is controlling you obviously gathered us here."

"That creepy-ass shit is a robot?!" Sadie yelled.

Amelia was right, chalking him up to be a robot was the only thing that made the puzzle pieces fit. Still though, who would control him? And he looked very much like a plushie. The gymnasium was filled with loose chatter, panicking and scared, loose chatter. There were only 16 of us here but it sounded like we were in a bustling city.

"Hey!" Monokuma yelled, "quiet down. Man, kids these days."

"Why are we here?" Dane asked, "if Amelia is right, then it's obvious someone gathered us here."

"Yeah!" Stark said, "and what for?"

"I'll explain it right now," Monokuma said with a sinister grin.

A sudden shiver spread down my body like an infection, like I knew what he was about to say would be something that filled me with... despair.

"I kidnapped you all!" Monokuma cheered, "so you will spend the rest of your young lives here!"

"Okay, guys," Alex said with a small snicker, "you can stop this joke. It's a joke... right?"

"There is way too much effort put into this just for a joke!" Ultra Justice yelled, "but this can't be true."

"gathering 16 Ultimates and making a robot," Wade mumbled, "That takes too much effort."

This had to be a joke though or an elaborate prank for a television show. Anything would be fine, I just wanted this confusing situation to make sense. But it was just as they said, no one would put this much effort into a single prank.

"S-so..." I mumbled, "It's true?!"

"Of course not!" Winston yelled.

"I want to go home," Mito said quietly.

A venomous grin spread across Monokuma's face after Mito's comment. "I was hoping one of you would say that!" Monokuma said, "because there is one condition that would allow you to leave. You need to kill a fellow classmate!"

"W-what the fuck!" Sadie screamed, "shut up! Just shut the fuck up!"

"What do you mean?!" Tobias said.

"Kill! Whether it's strangling, stabbing, suffocating, shooting, poisoning, drowning, burning. It doesn't matter!" Monokuma explained, "just murder someone in this gymnasium and you are free to go!"

"Fuck this shit I'm leaving!" Dane said, walking towards to the door.

"Good luck fire-fuck," Monokuma fired back, "I got this entire place surrounded!"

"By what huh?!" Dane replied, yelling angrily.

"The dome!" Monokuma answered.

"By what dome?!" Dane shouted.
