Another month, and she was still unconscious. I was out of the hospital, and almost recovered. But I never cared about me. I hoped she'd get better quick, like I did.
Dad randomly disappeared without warning or trace. Natille left for another job a few miles away.
It was just me and Plagg in the house. Alone.
Nino and Ayla cane to visit every now and then to check on me. But I lied them every time. I'd tell them I was alright, and they didn't have to worry. But truly I was burning inside. I hadn't realized until now how much LadyBug or Marinette ment to me. How much both of them would inflict my life.
"Tiki says that Marinette will me fine. You should listen to her." Plagg said, later nibbling his cheese block.
I rested the side of my face on the palm of my hand, as I looked out the window, staring at the Eiffiel tower.
"Hey, Adrien?"
I looked over at Plagg.
"She will wake up again. Maybe some cheese would make you feel better?" He raised his block of cheese towards me, but I declined. It smelled bad, and couldn't even imagine how it tasted.
"I think I'm alright." I pinch my nose, in a form of disguise.
"Hey, Alya-" This was after my talk with Nino at the park. I had been talking to them about everything. Mostly Nino, but in this case, since Alya was a great friend of Marinette's l, I asked her if she'd like to pay a visit with me to see Marinette. She'd agree to come every time.
I used to not have much of a bound with Alya, but ever since Marinette's been in the hospital, we've talked while we visited Marinette.
Nino would tag along too, but it honestly was to support me and Alya more, I think.
Alya and I shared the same fears, fate, and hope that she'd get better. Nino did too, but Alya and I were closer to Mari.
"I'll be there in a second. You go along without me. I forgot my phone so it'll take a little while before I get there."
I nodded and half smiled. Then I looked at Nino sitting on the edge of the fountain. I walked over to him and asked while placing my right hand on the back of my neck, "Me and Alya were going to see Mari from the hospital. Did you wanna tag along?"
"I think I'm alright, dude. See you guys later." Nino replied, and with that, Alya and I left to go see Marinette.
It wasn't long until we made it to the hospital. Checking in to visit her was quick since we visited so many times, to the point they recognized us.
We shortly got to Mari's room and walked in. Alya and I sat next to each other, looking over at Marinette and all of the IVs and Moniters hooked up to her.
It was silent between me and Alya, since we barely new each other. But the last few months, Alya and I started to talk together a bit more. We were more comfortable with each other, but of course, we weren't best friends forever or anything. Perhaps acquaintances would be the better way to describe it.
"How are you doing?" Alya asked. You could hear the sadness and guilt in her voice.
I sighed, unsure how to respond, so it took a bit before I replied to her, "I don't know..."
She nodded, understanding why such. She lifted her head up to look over at Mari again. She sighed and leaned back onto the visiter's couch that we were sitting on.
"How about you?" I eventually asked.
"... It's hard... to see her like this... I try not to think of how it felt for her to be stabbed but... I can't help but find it back in my thoughts again." Alya hugged herself, looking down. Her hair fell down, covering the side of her face, and I was unsure what her expression was. But I already it was a expression that showed sadnest or devastation.
