Chapter 1
Briarwood University... The place you want to go for weird classes, the college experience, and to just be stupid. The shabby red bricks were fashionably uneven. The campus had 3 buildings for education. 6 frat/ sorority houses. They had dorms, Evan nor Aria decided to stay in those ratty things though. 10 new people have decided to join the offered courses at Briarwood University.
Evan O' Garfield looked at the sign in front of him. "Quantum Physics." He muttered. He looked behind him and read the digital clock. It read 10:05 A.M. So much for making a good impression. Evan sighed and walked in.
As he entered the classroom, every student looked up from their notes to stare at him. The tables were uneven. There were two people per table. The walls were lab coat white. The door slammed shut and Professor Griffith finally looked at Evan. The Professor studied Evan and grinned at him. "You must be Evan O' Garfield." Evan shuffled his feet and shoved his hands in his pockets. "Am I that obvious?" He asked sarcastically.
"Come, please sit down next to-" Began the professor. The professor looked around the classroom. He pointed towards the table all the way in the back. "Sit there with Aria Carradice." Evan looked towards the girl. Aria, she looked like heaven. Evan was stunned by her beauty, literally. He stumbled and fell backward. Her hair was Mary Jane red, her pale skin increased the redness. He hadn't even seen her eyes, but he bet they were also perfect. She was focused on her notes, biting her pencil. As he fell to the ground knocking the umbrella stand over, Aria looked up irritated that someone had disturbed her. He wasn't looking to see her angry brown eyes glare at him. Evan put his hands up, signalling surrender. He got up, dusting off his black hoodie, and began walking to the back table. He put his bag down carefully and slid into his seat. He pulled out a pencil and notebook, but instead of taking notes, he leaned forward onto his elbows and stared at Aria. Her left hand covered her face from Evan, but he could see a detailed vine tattoo going down into the abyss that was her leather jacket. Her hair must have been destined to be wavy. It was just so perfect. She clad motorcycle boots, black of course, and as Evan looked down he saw ripped tights. Surprise there. He didn't need to look at her eyes, cheekbones, or shirt to know she was perfect.
"I'm Parker, Peter Parker." Evan snapped out of his gaze and looked at the boy. A boy and a girl were looking at him with intent. The boy's hair was hazel and it looked as if it defied gravity. Evan presumed the boy was Peter.
"Gwen Stacy." The blonde girl smiled and twirled her hair with her pencil. Her green eyes looked watery. Must be Allergy season. Evan thought.
"I'm Evan O' Garfield as you guys already know." They chortled. What was so funny. Evan wondered.
"HEY NO TALKING IN THIS CLASS!" Professor Griffith yelled. Peter and Gwen glanced at Evan and then back at their teacher, continuing their notes. Gee they must take this class seriously. Evan took another glance toward Aria, before he was hit in the head with a paper ball. He quietly opened it. It read:
Hello Evan, You're new. Consider us giving you a tour. -Harold and Kumar.
Evan looked to the right table beside him and saw a small Asian guy and an Indian sitting a couple feet away. Evan grinned and gave them a thumbs up. They smiled back and turned to talk to each other.
Before Evan knew what was going on the class was over. "Don't think you have a chance Evan. I have a boyfriend." Aria hissed. And with that Aria was out of the door. Evan counted the steps she took- one, two, three, four, five- gone.
Evan O' Garfield. Why was he so familiar? Aria had wondered as she left Quantum Physics. Was it his deep blue eyes? His bar code tattoo on the back of his neck? Or his messy top cut hair? Was it the mysterious lip ring? Aria had no idea and she intended to keep it that way.
Aria walked along the sidewalk next to the technology building. Her fingers traced some of the bricks, as she walked along. Her rose was tattooed on the center of her back palm. Her vines had come with the package. "Hey Aria!" Someone called out, she hoped to hell it wasn't Evan. She looked behind her and saw Tristan Carter, her amazing boyfriend. His usual grin was plastered on his face. Tristan began jogging to catch up, his backpack bouncing all around.
Tristan Carter was the president of Gamma Kappa Deltas, also known as the Kappas. His black hair hung loosely over his eyebrows. His brownish green eyes magnified his paleness. He was wearing a purple polo, With the logo GKD on his right breast. His purple polo tucked into his white khakis. Tristan grabbed her waist, leaning her down towards the floor, like old romantics did. He kissed her on the cheek, forehead, then lips in the most innocent phrase, no groping was involved. She grinned as Tristan helped her back up to vertical standing. They held each other, gazing into each others eyes. "I have to go to class." Aria said, looking at her imaginary watch. Tristan agreed, letting her go, and intertwining their hands. They reached the main buildings. Aria had noticed Tristan had let go and was now staring at the ground, an unusual frown was on his face. "What's wrong?" Aria asked. Tristan looked up startled.
"It's nothing." He mumbled.
"Are you on a PMS cycle or something? Because I could have sworn only girls had that." She tried to lighten the mood.
"Ha ha." He was not in a happy mood.
"What's wrong we were fine like five minutes ago?"
"We weren't fine a week ago." Aria was confused. Tristan had taken a plane to Romania. She had seen the ticket.
Tristan's mother had cancer. She couldn't support them. None of the other Carters could support them yet. They were under-age. Nothing was making sense. Tristan was sweating from the glare Aria had just put on him. "I slept with Monica before she left, before I left."
"The slut kicked out a week ago? She broke up because Isaac had to get both his eyeballs cut out for no cancer? That bitch? Really?"
"Yes really. You don't have to be like that. She isn't that bad."
"That pun was intended was it not?" He smirked. Before Aria knew what had happened she was hugging her hand, and Tristan was holding his nose. "What the bloody hell is wrong with you woman?" Someone's British voice yelled. Aria looked behind her, her face immediately turned to a scowl. Evan O' Garfield strolled up. He helped Tristan up. "What the bloody hell? You don't have a right to go and hit someone."
"He cheated. He started it. I didn't know you were British?" She added in. Tristan grabbed his bag, which had fallen in the mishap. Evan straightened out his friend's polo and began walking away."Well this has been great. See you later Tristan. See ya around Carradice." And with that Evan walked away. Nobody had noticed that Tristan snuck away. I will get my revenge. She swore to herself. Aria adjusted her laptop bag and set into the main building.
