A/N: hello friends! I wrote this trash in a hour so expect there to be a lot a grammar mistakes lol

It was a sunny day, the birds were chirping, children were laughing, and the best part? The last school bell was ringing, alerting Izuku that it was time to go home, go home to his sweet natured mother, Midoriya Inko. The six year old smiled, standing up to pack his things away. Maybe if he was quick enough the would be able to avoid Kacchan and his goons on the way home...

Who was he kidding? He and Katsuki lived on the same street! There was no way of avoiding the events that were likely to happen. Izuku sighed, shoveling all his school notes and papers into his bag. It had been about a year ago, hadn't it? A year since he was told that he was a part of the twenty percent of the population that were deemed Quirkless.

Sure, it had made him feel small and depressed at first, but he learned to accept that he wouldn't be getting a quirk anytime soon. That didn't mean that he had given up on becoming a hero though, Izuku had been working extra hard on his hero notes and had already gone through two whole notebooks! They were pretty messy, and full of spelling errors because of his education level, but he would rewrite them when he was older. He would never give up his dream of becoming a hero that could smile and give people hope. To become someone like All Might.... It would be a blessing.

Even without a quirk.

Izuku pulled the messenger bag strap onto his shoulder and made his way to the classroom door, but before he could reach it, he tripped. He lied flat on his stomach for what felt like an hour, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. There weren't many people that were occupying the classroom but still, he didn't like the attention. It was when he finally found the resolve to sit up that he saw a foot placed out into the aisle.

"Oh wow, you're Quirkless and clumsy? What a lowser! How do you ever e-expect to become a hewro." The blue haired six year old who Izuku didn't know the name of stumbled on some words, pronouncing loser and hero with a lisp. Izuku could only stare at the boy and his friends dying of laughter at their friends remark. He could feel his whole face burn- no, his whole body burn.

"Ha, like you could ever be a hero, you Deku!" Another boy joined it. He didn't remember when, but eventually a good percent of the school had begun to steal Kacchan's nickname for Izuku, and used it for their own satisfactions. Izuku, or also, Deku, hadn't minded it until others besides Kacchan started calling him it.

He stumbled as he stood up, leaning on a unoccupied desk to push off the ground. He turned to the group of troublemakers. "Why do you have to be such meanies!?" The greenette sprinted out of the room full of jokes and chuckles. Tears ran out if his eyes as he passed random kids in the halls. None of them noticed his agony, or if they did, they didn't care.

Soon he was half way home and had somehow escaped Kacchan's sight. His tears had dried up now and he had calmed down a bit. Both of his hands still tightly clutched the strap of his bag. He couldn't understand why they had to treat him like that. He wasn't hurting anyone by being Quirkless, was he? No, he knew he wasn't. He wasn't that dense. These people were just plain biased

"Hey, Deku!" A familiar voice called from behind. Izuku instantly shrunk into himself, wishing that he had somehow been faster on his walk home. He slowly turned his body around and braced himself for any explosion that might have been heading his way. Fortunately, nothing came. Yet.

"Uh, h-hey Kacchan..." his voice seemed to drift away under the blondes glare. Izuku gulped and took a step back. Was that not the right thing to say? Actually, scratch that. Anything you said was wrong to Kacchan nowadays.
