Episode 2- To Work Or Not To Work

Previously on... Survivor!

Twenty characters from musicals written by Lin-Manuel Miranda were stranded on the coast of the US Virgin Islands. They were split into two tribes based on the musicals they were from: Hamilton and In The Heights. They ran a three mile race for reward and immunity for individuals. Eliza and Carla won the immunity necklaces, and the Hamilton tribe won the reward- extra food and an advantage in the immunity challenge. Abuela finished last, and knowing she had to step it up, she dominated in the immunity challenge, which was carrying heavy weights. But before the challenge, Maria Reynolds decided she was going to go look for the hidden immunity idol. This angered Angelica, so in the middle of the night she went out and started looking too. Angelica then ran right into Maria, and spotted the idol that moment. Angelica later grabbed it. At the immunity challenge, In The Heights was doing very well, until both Nina and later Benny slipped and their weights fell, sending In The Heights to tribal council. At camp, the majority of the tribe went searching for a hidden immunity idol, which was eventually found by Abuela. Usnavi formed a six person alliance, but Nina disagreed, and turned on Usnavi and her boyfriend to make a counter-alliance. Abuela played her hidden immunity idol, but there was no need to, as Nina's plan succeeded and Vanessa was blindsided, leaving Abuela, Usnavi, and Benny in the dark as to what happened. Nineteen are left. Who will be voted out tonight?

In The Heights- Nina, Benny, Usnavi, Sonny, Graffiti Pete, Abuela, Carla, Piragua, Camila

IN THE HEIGHTS

Night 3

"What was that for, guys?" says Usnavi. "Why did Vanessa need to go so badly? I had no idea! Who even did that all?"

Nina confessional: "The second we get back to camp, Usnavi just erupts at everyone. I expected him to be annoyed, but not this bad. It looks like he's threatening to kill someone. I was debating lying and pretending I voted Piragua with them, to get the target off of my back."

"It wasn't me." says Abuela.

"Wait- what? It wasn't you? If it wasn't you, it must have been... Nina?"

Nina stares at the ground. "Okay, yes, guys. I turned on you. But that's what this game is. I saw Vanessa as a huge threat in the future, so I needed to get her out when I could. You should be happy I pulled off a big move like that."

Benny confessional: "I can't believe my own girlfriend turned on me. She could have just as easily voted me out, it seems! So suddenly I'm the one on the bottom of this tribe, probably next in line right after Abuela, if not even before. I need to keep my calm and make amends with Nina. Usnavi is making that difficult right now."

"What were you doing, Nina?!"

Usnavi confessional: "Okay, I did get a little mad at Nina when we got back to camp after she voted out my girlfriend. Wouldn't you be? But I have to try to repair my relationship with her soon, because Benny, Abuela, and I need her on our side. Right now I can't even think straight, though. Vanessa can't be gone already!"

Piragua confessional: "There was this huge fight between Usnavi and Nina when we got back to camp, which number one, I'm glad is happening so Nina will remain against him, and number two, am happy not to be a part of. I'm just trying to stay behind the scenes right now."

The Survivor music plays as the intro is shown, with all the castaways. The Hamilton tribe is shown after the ads.
