"CUTTERS!!" I screamed again, at the top of my lungs to the point where my voice cracked. Everyone started to push past me back into the cabin, I stayed clear of everyone. "Juni, get in the damn house!!" Thomas yelled at me, I ignored it. They're running directly towards me... I thought. Two of them got in, the rest were killed by the door closing on them. Thomas started to drag me to the cabin, I was frozen with shock, unable to move. Those things were creepy as hell, they had dark shiny skin, needle-like points going down their spine, weird metal armor covering their backs and parts of their faces, their claw-like hands with needle-like points on them too. They had 6 legs, 4 for walking and 2 for attacking, and they also made a mechinal noise moving. Click-whirr-whirr-snap-click.

Thomas and Arby slammed the door shut and pushed dressers and heavy things in front of them. Everyone was panicking, but remained silent and still, the terrifying noise of the Cutters coming closer and closer. My senses told me to get the hell out there and fight, but I remained here.
"We're all gonna die."
"I don't wanna die."
"Save us someone!"
"I don't care if I die."
The words of everyone around me spiraled around my head, and caused me to feel dizzy. I looked out the window, they were getting closer, but hesitating. Why are they hesitating... Questions formed in my mind. The Cutters soon stopped dead, and headed back to the door in a blind run. "The hell are they doing?" It was Mihpo that spoke this time, he had dark hair and looked kind of Japanese, but had a kind look to his face, not right now at least. "I don't know..." Arby said, he looked concerned. The Cutters frantically started to scratch the door, then climb over the door. My senses grew too much, I grabbed a knife and ran out. "Juni!!!" Thomas yelled after me, but I ignored it.

I got to the door, the Cutters above me climbing still. "Hey jack-heads!" I screamed, they stopped dead and soon started to rapidly slide down the wall, metal scraping and shrieking. I clenched my knife and backed up. They jumped off like a spider jumping off a web and in front of me, landing with a clang. They charged at me, I swung under them and ran the opposite direction. Bad idea. Bad fucking idea Juni!! I frantically thought of what I should do, I remembered the knife I had. I turned around and dodged the Cutters, then threw the knife, stabbing one in the side. It was it's vunerable spot, and green goo-like blood sprayed and it fell over dead. I ran to the Dark Forest in the corner, and broke a branch off, just in time to stab the last Cutter in the side, it sprayed that nasty stuff over me, I had to prevent myself from gagging. I screamed and pushed it onto the ground, panting and sweating. Silence echoed, but was soon broken by Tom and the others, running towards me. I collapsed, and everything went black from the fear and confusion.

I awoke in a cabin bed, Tom next to me in a chair, and Arby and Mihpo arguing silently. I sat up with a gasp. "Woah, calm down. Lay back down, you just killed two Cutters. That's pretty damn awesome." Tom said to me, I laid back down slowly. I killed two Cutters?! Then it all came back to me, and I wanted to throw up so bad... the thought of that goo spraying all over me was disgusting.
"She needs to be one! We could use her skills out there!"
"No, it's too dangerous, she's still a newbie. Heck, she came here two days ago!!"
"That doesn't bloody matter!"
"I'm calling a meeting to settle this." Arby walked out, Mihpo followed him angrily. I fell asleep, exhausted from fighting and all the chaos that's happened.

I woke up in the morning, fresh breakfast at my side. I sat up and ate, happy to have food in my stomach. I got up, and walked outside, the sky was still dull. This place is so strange... I wish I remembered my past...  "Hey Newbie, come here." I turned, kind of startled, and saw Mihpo by a small door at the side of the house. I walked over. "Guess what Newbie, you're a Runner now and I'm starting your training today." He said with a smile. Wait.... what?! "What?!"
