"Dad!," I shouted, "I really need your help!" He gave me a cockeyed look. "Ok, who are you and what did you do with Parker?" "Dad, Elena is in Denver and needs me to be with her." "What?," he asked, "why is Elena in Denver? Is she ok?" I couldn't hold back the truth anymore. I told him everything. About that first day I met her, about that first date, about that morning at school, even about our weekend together. All that he could do was stare at me shake his head. "Parker, I can't belive you." He sighed, "I have tried so hard to keep you protected from this shit, and now you'll be luck if she's not pregnant!" That just about killed me. My own dad turning on me like that! "You still havn't answered my question Dad." "Well, we aren't gonna just leave the possible mother of your kid sit up in Denver I guess. Go get in the car!"
"Elena King-Lee's room please," I asked the recepionist, "may I ask your name?" "Yes, Parker Benson.' "Oh," she said, "I'm sorry, imeadiate family only." "Mam," I argued, "she is possibly pregnant with my kid, and I'll be dam-," I was inturupted, "Parker! Miss, we really need to talk to her. It's urgent." "Well," she softened, "follow me." She led us down halls untill we reached room number 213. "here you are, just close the door when you leave." I quietly knocked and opened the door. Elena sat in a large chair next to the window. She turned when we walked in. "Parker?," she looked like she hadn't slept in years, "why are you here?" "Honey," I sat on the floor by her side, "I'm here for you." We hugged for a second. "Parker, you gotta get me outta here," she pled, "otherwise I'm gonna go crazy. They are trying to put me on meds to calm the 'paranoia'. They're sayin' that it didn't happen and Mom won't tell em' cuz she's scared he'll come after her again." Elena's eyes where blood-shot, probably from crying. I looked at Dad and I could tell that he agreed. "Ok, baby, I'll see what I can do." Dad and I found Elena's supervisor and preposed our idea. "Hi, I'm Dr.Carter, may I  help you?," he greeted us, "yes," Dad replied, "um, we need a way to bring Miss King-Lee back home with us. She is very uncomfortable here in this facility." "Sir, I'm afraid that Elena cannot stay in her oun house dew to the fact that her father knows her location." All of a sudden I had an idea. "Um, sir?," I asked, "What if Elena had a place besides here or her house to stay?" He looked puzzled. "Well, I guess then she could stay there." I looked at Dad and I could tell what the look in his eyes meant. "Dr.Carter, if Elena found it suitable, would you allow her to stay with us at least untill her dad is back under survalance?" "Why yes, that'll be fine."
After talking to Elena about it and comfirming it with Dad, the three of us headed back home. "Ok, there are gonna be a couple of rules about you staying here, Elena." He informed her, "and number 1 rule is that you two sleep in seprate rooms. Number 2- I am the boss and anything that you think about doing that you second think, you have to run past me. Number 3- our house is your house. Are there any questions?," he turned and looked at Elena and I. I shook my head, "nope, I don't, do you Elena?," with ease she said, "nope, sounds good." She and I where curreled in the back seat just the way we did that weekend on the couch. We both knew that the 'rules' weren't gonna be followed long.
