Inez POV
After talking to Nikki I walk upstairs to wake up Theo. He's not a morning person so its really funny to wake him up early. I open the door and see him asleep on his back making me smile. I tip toe in and crawl ontop of him waking him up. He smiles and pulls me down for a kiss.
"Wake me up like that more often." he says.
"I'll think about it." I say. He smiles and sits up but with me still on his lap. "Can you watch the kids tonight?" I ask.
"What for? They're teenagers." he says. I sigh and rub his shoulders.
"I want to spend a sisters night with Nikki. I barely ever see her." I say. He runs his hand through my hair and kisses the tip of my nose.
"Okay, I will. But only if you take a shower with me." he says. I nod and he picks me up, carrying me to the bathroom. Afterwards I head downstairs and make breakfast when Josh walks in.
"Hey mom? Can I ask you something?" he asks sitting down. I nod and walk over to him. "Is.....is dad really my dad?"
"What?!" I ask abit freaked out. "Why do you ask that?"
"Because I look nothing like him." he says.
"So, you look alot like me, thats where you got your hair color and what not but your dad is your father. I, of all people would know that." I say. He nods and looks down.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." he says. I shake my head and kiss his cheek.
"Its okay, nothing wrong." I say. He nods and he helps me finish breakfast. "Okay, go get your father and sister." he walks upstairs. Minutes later all walk downstairs and grab a plate. We eat and Theo has to leave for work.
"Okay, gotta go. I'll be home at 6pm like always." I nod and he gives me a kiss. "Have fun with the kids." and he leaves. My daycare is closed today so I have to deal with my kids. Jennifer starts to walk upstairs but I stop her.
"Hey Jen. Come here." I say. She turns and we sit down on the stairs. "Have you....found your mate yet?"
"No, not yet. I will mom. What are you so worried about?" she asks. I sigh and smile.
"Your aunt Nikki had such a hard time finding her's and it depressed her. I was worried and did everything I could to help her but I just couldn't. When she turned 15 for about a month she kinda just pulled herself away. Never talked to me, stayed away from all. I was really afraid she would do something to herself. Thankfully something kicked her in her butt and she started to come back. And because of that she found Jason. I just don't want the same thing to happen to you." I say.
"I won't mom. If I have any problems I'll come right to you, I promise." she says kissing my cheek and walking upstairs. I nod and look up to a picture of me and Nikki right after the war. We were happy and excited about the future. I just hope we don't start to drift away.
