As I walked down the street, I had my young boy, Kyle, walking next to me. We were going to the shops- he wanted some collectible stickers, football ones- to be exact, and I'd never thought the trip would go so wrong.
We eventually got to the shops, and we brought the stickers. I got milk, eggs and flour. We were supposed to be baking later that day. When Kyle and I got out of the shops, he stopped. I didn't know why, he just... did. I asked him what was wrong. He replied with- "Mummy, what's that?". I looked at what he was pointing at. It was just an empty space in the road. "Kyle, honey, there's... there's nothing there...". "Yes there is, don't you see him, he's waving... and smiling... he's calling your name, Clara....". I told him to ignore it, and we kept on walking. He didn't say a word until we got home.
He was in his bedroom for a while. Playing with his toys... or so I thought. I knocked gently on the door, I got no response. I opened it; his room looked ransacked, and he was sitting on the floor, rocking back and forth- he looked liked he was mentally insane. I was trying so hard not to cry. My young, 4 year old boy, had gone mad. "Kyle, do you want to help mummy bake some cakes?". No reply. I walked downstairs, looking back at my little boy. I decided to text my ex- Damien, his father.
Clara: Damien, Kyle's acting weird, text me/ call me when you can.
Damien: What's happening??
Clara: We were at the shops and he was seeing things.
Damien: Anything else?
Clara: Yes- he's now in his bedroom, rocking forwards and back, like a mentally insane person...
Damien: I'm on my way.
Clara: Okay, thank you.Damien arrived and we tried to be as quiet as possible. We slowly creeped up the stairs. As we looked through the gap between the wall and the door, it was unforgettable what I saw. Kyle was down on all fours. L-like... like some kind of monster. I then started to cry on Damien's shoulder. "Let's go and see a doctor" he whispered. "Okay".
