Soul Of Fire (Hawaii 5-0)

ONE

LILINOE SAT in her living room waiting for Dylan to come home. Her little sister's head had been placed in her lap.

A knock on the door startled Lilinoe. Carefully she stands up, trying not to wake up her younger sibling.

As she made her way to the door, she could hear a bunch of men shouting outside. Lilinoe was about to grab her gun off the table beside her when the door burst open.

Men came in with guns, large guns. Lilinoe raised her hands in surrender as they all held their guns in her direction.

How she wished Dylan would come home soon. One of the men grabbed her and threw her to the ground. She winced slightly as her head hit the hard wooden floors of her Hawaiian home.

They tied her hands with a rope and sat her down on a chair, where her legs were tied to the bottom of the wooden chair.

Her little sister woke up, with her hair all messy. A man pointed a gun at her and, Chloe her little sister curled up into a ball, frightened.

One of the men roughly grabbed Chloe and held her to make sure she didn't escape. Fear was in Lilinoe's younger sibling's eyes.

"Leave her alone!" Grumbled Lilinoe, to the man holding Chloe. "Fine, she better not run off anywhere," The man holding Chloe let her go and she dropped to the ground.

Lilinoe watched as the man that tied her up, talk to someone on the phone. She could hear fragments of his conversation.

'Where's the money?' 'I'll kill her!' 'McGarrett, I'll kill them both if you don't tell me where Adam Noshimori is!'

A little bit of hope rose up in her as she heard her bosses last name is mentioned. Let's just hope he gets here on time.

The phone was held up to her ear. She could hear Steve, her boss talking to her.

'Lilinoe'

'Hey, Steve'

'I'm gonna get you out of there'

The man pushed the gun closer to her forehead and mouthed, 'Ask him'

'Steve, I need you to get out of here with Adam. Don't let them get-'

Lilinoe was cut off by a gun being smashed into the back of her head. A cry left her lips as the chair she was in fell over.

Once again the phone was being put on her ear. This time a gun was placed on her little sister's head. Shakily she tells her boss.

'Steve, y-y-you need to give t-t-them him, or else t-t-there going to k-k-kill Chloe'

'I'm not gonna let that happen, ok? Where are you?'

'In the living room'

'OK, I'm outside. Nod at whoever is threatening you and tell them I want to talk to them'

'Ok'

She nods at the man holding the gun to her head and tells him. "He wants to talk to you"

Taking the gun away from her head she sighs in relief as the gun on her little sisters head was taken away too.

The man's phone rings again.

'McGarrett, what'd you need?'

'No can do McGarrett. She's mine now'

Lilinoe spoke up. "Let my little sister go. You have me just leave her out of it" The man thinks for a minute before nodding at one of the men near her sister.

Her sister then walked out of the house, her legs shaking with every step. Steve held Lilinoe's younger sibling as if he let go, she would disappear.

Lilinoe was listening to their conversation in the kitchen until they came back in.

"Oh, some one's a little nosy," The same man said. Nodding at one of his men.He pulled out his gun and pointed it at Lilinoe. "Again with the gun. Just shoot me already you scumbag" Lilinoe spits.

You could see the fumes of smoke coming from his ears. Pressing the trigger a bullet shot at the young woman. That set Steve off.

Grabbing his gun he makes his way to the house.

Danny soon follows.Kicking the door in, he looks over to see Lilinoe tied up and no one in the house with her. Blood pooled from the hole in her stomach.

As Steve was about to go to help Lilinoe, he got held back by Danny. "Let go!" He shouts to Danny.

Lilinoe sends Steve and Danny one last weak smile. A gunshot ran throughout the house and Lilinoe took the breath that was her last.Her husband Dylan came running in.

Tears poured from his eyes as he watched her body go limp. Running over to her, he untied her with the help of Steve.

Holding her in his arms, Steve began to cry. He had loved her with all her heart and she would of never of known that because he was stupid enough to let her go.

Memories of all the times they had together, flashed in his mind.She had loved him too but her love for Dylan was stronger.

Still love is love, she had loved Steve first but he let her go and Dylan was there to pick up the pieces.

As Steve cries, Danny stands back. He'd just lost his best friend. His non-blood related sister. It was all his fault, he thought.

The rest of the 5-0 team come in. One look at the sight, they all teared up. Lilinoe was close to them all.

Kono broke down in Chin's arms. Tears soaked his blue shirt. He was in shock. Chin couldn't help but let tears fall too. Lilinoe grew up with him and Kono. Now she was gone.

Grover looks at the rest of them. He didn't really know Lilinoe but still felt extremely upset about her death, he couldn't help but tear up a little too.Just because he barely knew the girl, he still managed to care for her and now she was gone.

Their team broke apart then and there, nothing would ever be the same.

Lilinoe Arden. Was a well-known woman. A friend, a sister, an aunt and a wife.That all got took away by one bullet to the chest.

An innocent life was taken.

A life that didn't deserve to leave this world. She was far too young to die. Everyone knew that.But everything happens for a reason.

Her death was tragic. Lilinoe will always be missed. Even if it didn't seem like it. She will be. No one could ever forget her carefree soul.

Lilinoe was reckless and that's what got her killed.
