Chapter 1: Unexpected

Why does it feel like time flies by so quickly? It's February of my freshmen year already, and I feel like it's just been a month. I guess it's from me staying constantly active and busy from participating in so much shit to avoid just being cooped at home with my dysfunctional ass family.  But I am kind of excited today because I'm participating in a play for Black History Month and it's my first time acting ever for something even though it's a small part. But to be honest, I'm expecting this day to just fly by like the rest.

So, as usual, the school day passes by like any other day, even though I'd rather be chilling the whole time. When I reached my last class period, which was marching band, I was kinda relieved because I got to chill with my band bros, Brandon and Chance. As I entered the band hall, I saw Brandon hugged up with his girlfriend Luisa and Chance standing beside them.

"What's up, broskis??? Y'all ready to practice for the Wiz????" I said as I did my usual handshake with them. "Girl, hell naw! Y'all must be in the play......." Luisa said with her usual sassiness. "Well, shit I'm ready. Us three all got the crows' part and instead of singing, we'll be dancing which will be fun." Chance said.

"Cool. In a minute, I'm bout to head out towards the auditorium. Y'all coming with me?" I said.     "Yeah sure. Let me know when you're ready to head out." Brandon said as he gave Luisa a good bye hug and I went ahead did my scales assignment and checked in with Bandfather before we left. We soon got to the auditorium early as hell and hid in there until the bell rung. Everyone started to come in there and it was a shitload of seniors in the play too. I kept being mistaken for a senior so much, but I just went with the flow.

Soon everybody began to break into parts to start practicing their parts. In our group, it was me, Brandon, Chance, and this random girl I didn't know. But I just did me. Went with the flow. She seemed pretty nice and chill, but I didn't really try to speak to her too much. I was just really trying to focus and memorize my lines for this play even though it wasn't that many lines.

Makenzie

"Nzie you gonna miss the bus! Cause u woke up late!" I can hear my mom yell from her room.

"Fuck..." I say as I get up and get dressed.   "It's a good thing I took a bath last night" I think to myself as I ran for the bus.  "Makenzie, I called you 20 times trying to wake you up." "I know I see that." I respond back to my best friend as I remove her from my call log.

After small talk on the bus with her, we are at the hell hole that 4 yrs of my life have went to. Some of you may know it as high school, but the bright side of my situation is that: I'M A MOTHER F-ING SENIOR BITCH!!!! My senior year has been flying before me cause we are already in February so u know what that mean black history month and I love talking bout my history because our people came from such a long way. Ok, enough of that back to the big picture.... We're having a play this year for black history and I'm in it.... YAAAYY! (I swear I'm an Oreo).

I think I was too hype for the play because in no time, it was the end of school  and we was in practice. The teacher thought it would be good to let us break off into groups almost everyone there was a senior and my friend but I wanted to be with this boy I was sneaking around with since my junior year....... His name was Brandon. Him and his best friend, Chance and some girl I didn't know. But this girl had my attention cause she was just highly blessed and I wanted her badly. And I always get what I want. So, I decided to go over and talk with her while we were learning our lines.

All of sudden, this girl walks toward me smiling at me weirdly, and in my mind, I was slightly like "Why she coming for me?"

"Hello, I'm Makenzie. What's your name?" she said.

"I'm Shannon. Nice to meet you, Makenzie. What's your part in the play?"

"I'm one of the crows. What about you?"

"Same. I guess we'll be working together then." I said smiling at her.

She smiled at me again hard and nodded her head.

As practice went on, we started to become more comfortable with each other, but I thought she was getting a bit too comfortable so quickly. I felt like she was flirting with me hard, and I wasn't trying to get with that. I had made rules and expectations for myself when I got to high school, and dating or messing with my peers was a no no. This girl was so determined though.......She would mainly try to grab my ass which was a definite no touch spot. She was brave as hell....... After a little while, Brandon and Chance left the room to go fetch something so we were alone.........

Makenzie

Shannon is so damnn sexy.......I want her so bad. I was so happy when Brandon and Chance said they had to go get something. "This was my opportunity" I thought to myself. I grabbed Shannon and got a good grip of her ass while I smiled really hard in her face. I could tell that she was fighting against me, but at the same time, she like me grabbing her like that. But it didn't last too long because here comes Brandon screaming my name. "NZIE!" I remove my hands from Shannon very quickly but stay very close to her and turn to see what my man what. "Yes BB" I say (B.B.- Boy Bestfriend). "Come on, let finish before we go." he says and drags me away from my girl. "Damn it BB!!! I was so close to really getting some." I say in my head as we went back to practicing lines.

Soon after that we all went home. Since I didn't have work today, I went home thinking of how I'm gonna get in between Shannon's legs tomorrow. And trust me, I'm getting her tomorrow for sure.

After that experience with Makenzie, I'm making sure I stay far as possible away from her. I'm keeping my distance from her. Man, she got me thinking about what happened so much. It's just a thought though........Because I will not break my own rules and expectations for that girl or would I ??
