(Cali's p.o.v)

I've been in the hospital a couple days. Today, I go home from the hospital. Though, home is now in Minneapolis. Mom is a better parent then dad is. But I don't want to go because I would be leaving Dylan behind. I leave back to my house and pack up my things. Then I first head for Dylan's house. I knock on the door. "Yeah?" I hear. "Dylan? It's Cali!" I say loudly. The door opens. "Hey Cali! What's up?" Dylan says. I notice that Dylan sees my suite cases. I only have two and my backpack carrying the stuff my mom doesn't have for me. "Um...Dylan, I'm moving," I say quietly. Dylan frowns and hugs me. "I don't want you to," he says. I hug him back. "Well, it's only in Minneapolis. So it won't be far by plain. So we can still video chat, talk on the phone, text, and Facebook," I say.

Dylan slams the door. "It won't be the same!" he yells. He seriously slammed the door on me? But...I thought he would be happy about it. I walk to the airport and get on my plain. It only takes about half an hour to get to Minneapolis. My mom is waiting for me at the airport. It feels weird being the only girl in the airport with cowgirl boots, shorts, a tank top and a crop top on. My long corly black hair is in its usual ponytail. I'm the only one there with a huge tanned body.

On our drive home, we stop at a strange house. "Honey, this is my friend, Lisa's house. She wants to meet you," mom says. I look at how much she changed since her and dad divorced. She went from clubbing outfits to jeans and skinny tank tops. I see that she's wearing sneakers. Her skin is pale and her hair wasn't the blonde she would dye it. Instead, it was a type of red.

"Are you ready?" mom asks. I grab my favorite grey hoodie and take off my crop top. Then I put on my hoodie. The only reason I love it is because it's really thin and it has the Jeff the killer phrase on it. "Cali, you're not wearing that," mom say. "Would you prefer the crop top?" I ask her. Mom puts her hands up. "Fine. You can wear it," mom snaps.

I take a step out of the car. "Hey baby! You're smokin' hot!" I hear. I turn my head to see a guy looking at me. I start to feel sick. "Mom can't we do this tomorrow? I"m not feeling so good," I say. Mom takes my hand. "Cali, we're already here. Lets just get it over with okay?" mom tells me. I nod and let her drag me into the house. Inside, I saw a little boy, and four teenage boys. "Hello, boys!" mom says waving to them. The boys wave back. "This is my daughter, Cali. She lives with me now," mom says, pushing me into the room. I wave.

One of the boys looks at another and starts laughing. This is it! Maybe if I tell them I have a boyfriend maybe they'll leave me alone. Mom leaves the room. "Hi," I say. One of the teenagers stands and holds out his hand to me. "Hi! I'm Dakota. These are my friends, Anthony, Tanner and Frankie. That's my little brother, Davion. You are?" he says. I shake Dakota's hand. "Cali. Cali Bryan. I just moved in with my mom from Las Vegas," I tell him. Dakota high fives Tanner. "So do you know the guys from Ghost Adventures?" Dakota asks. I nod. "Well, my dad does. I met them once, but I doubt they remember me," I say. These guys seem like they could be my friends.

Mom walks back in with a woman. "Cali, this is Lisa. She's Dakota and Davion's mother," mom says. I shake her hand. "Nice to meet you," I say with a fake smile. I wish Dylan was here. I decide to call him. But my phone rings instead. "Oh, sorry!" I say. I look at the caller ID. Dylan. "Hang on. This is very important," I say. I exit the house into my mom's car. "Hello?" I say. "Cali, can we talk?" Dylan asks. "Of course we can! I'm not busy," I say.  Dylan takes a deep breath. "Okay. So...I reallyreallymissyouandiwantyoutocomehome!" Dylan says. "Dylan, say that normally," I say. Dylan grumbles. "I really really miss you and I want you to come home," he says more calmly. Giggling, I sigh. "I know. I wanna come home too. But, at least I already made four new friends," I say. Dakota walks out and heads to mom's car. I roll the window down. "Cali, I have a question," Dylan says. "Yes, Dylan?" I say. Dylan sighs and takes a deep breath. "Um..would you...maybe...possibly...go...out...with...me?" Dylan says. "Let me text you back on that. I'm with my new friend right now. Okay?" I say. "Okay. I love you. Bye," Dylan says. I suddenly start to blush. Dylan...loves me? Dakota smiles. "Who's that?" he asks. I put my phone back. "My friend Dylan," I tell him. Dakota frowned. Oh no. He doesn't like me too, does he?
