School! Yay...

Zane and I walk into class and immediately proceed to take the seats in the back that are next to each other. Mr. Carbon walks into the classroom and tells everyone to settle down.

"Alright, everybody, it seems we have a few new faces. For those who have been here before, Welcome back! For those who are new, welcome! I'm Mr. Carbon and I'll be your science teacher this year. If anyone wants to laugh, please do so now." He smiles and I let out a little giggle. Some other kids laugh a bit.

He clears his throat. "Now that I've introduced myself, time for all of you to introduce yourselves." I suck in a breath. Have I mentioned my social anxiety?

He looked around the room and started shaking his hands in denial. "Oh, all of you misunderstood me. I don't mean speak in front of the class. I mean everyone, including me, is going to spend today writing a paper about ourselves." A large portion of the class let out a sigh of relief, myself included.

We all get out our computers and start writing. In a few minutes, I finish mine and wait for Zane to finish his so we proofread each other's paper. About 5 minutes later, Zane looks at me and we swap laptops. I fix a few grammar mistakes here and there, but it was really good overall. And I mean that not just because he's my favorite brother.

We swap back computers, nodding to each other, our way of saying that whatever we just read was good. I look back to the board, where Mr. Carbon's school e-mail was on the board with the note 'Share your papers with me. My e-mail is above.' I share the document with him, then tap Zane's shoulder and point to the board, unsure if he's seen it already.

He nodded again and put his eye back on the screen. It took the entire hour for everyone to write and turn their papers in. Once they were all turned in, Mr. Carbon stood up and said "Alright, thank you, everyone. See all of you here tomorrow." He sat on his desk as the bell rang.

We all grabbed our stuff and went to our next class. Next, we had...

Know what? I'm gonna save you guys the boredom and tell you what happened in lunch and our last block, because that period was surprising, among other things.

In lunch, Zane and I sat at a table all to ourselves. No one else tried to sit with us, and that was fine with the both of us. I opened my lunch box and took out what Mami packed me. A fluffer-nutter (if you have never had a fluffer-nutter, what are you doing with your life?), a bag of strawberries, candy for the walk home and, oooh! A double cupcake tray! I wonder what's inside?

There was a note attached to the tray. It read 'La-La, I hope you're having a good first day so far! I baked you and Zu-Zu these cupcakes as a special treat! Don't worry, the one on the left is strawberry. Love you, Sweetheart! <3' I smiled and put the note aside.

I opened the tray and gave the one on the right to Zane. He tried not to let it show, but he absolutely adored sweets. I could tell he was overjoyed. I took mine out. Mami said it was strawberry and not chocolate like Zane's, which is good because I'm allergic to chocolate. The last time I had it, I was in the hospital for a day.

I ate my fluffer-nutter and my strawberries, putting the candy back in my bag. I then carefully unwrapped my cupcake and ate it within minutes. I'll admit, I have quite a sweet tooth. Not as big as Zane's, but still pretty big.

And now for my last period!

So, we had just finished math and I was checking my schedule, again, to get to my room. I had to do a double-take at the last class on the list.

"Werewolf Class?" I asked in disbelief. Why was I in Werewolf Class? I wasn't a werewolf.

Zane looked at my schedule, then his. "Huh." He said. Uh-oh. "What?" I asked. "My last period is Spanish," he said, eyebrows furrowed. I looked at his sheet and, lo and behold, it said Period 6: Spanish, Room E-5.
