I woke up to see my girlfriend looking over me.
"SAM!! Thank God you're ok... I though I was going to have to take you to the ER. I love you" she says as she starts crying on my chest. I try my best to sit up in bed to see where I'm at.
"Rose? Wha... Where ar..."
She cuts me off by pushing me back down "shhhh... It's ok, save your strength... We are in the hotel remember?"
"I... I don't rem.."
"It's ok... We were out at the hotdog cart and you bought us both one. We went to go eat it when someone came out of no where and started asking weird questions... Then you pushed me back and fought him. He pinned you and knocked you out and started asking me for the sapphire, or something like that, but i didn.."
I stopped her there "wait what?"
"Yeah" she said "he just came out of no where and started screaming at you and.."
"No no, the sapphire... Are you sure he said sapphire?"
"Ummm... It might have been something else like... Ummmm..."
"Garnet?" I asked abruptly
"Yes thats it... He wouldn't stop asking until he looked over to the owner of a small clothing store... He ran off without saying another word. The owner grabbed you and paid for this hotel. You know you are a really warm cuddler? I fell asleep on you almost instantly."
"Did you get his name?"
She looked at me puzzled "no, he only yelled at me, i don't think he wou..."
"No no Rose" I grabbed her hand gently" I meant the store owner"
"Oh him? No but i think its on the hotel receipt" she said pulling away slowly and walking to the other room.
Rose came back in with a black folder
"Here you go" she handed me the paper carefully and walked of to go get ice for my head. I quickly scanned for the name when I saw it...

I knew that name, maybe a little too well... But i couldn't tell her my past. She couldn't know what danger i had been through...
"Sam?" She called
"Yes sweetie?"
"Are you hungry or thirsty?"
I couldn't put anything in my stomach with how nervous i was "just a water with be fine, thank you"
"Ok, are you feeling better?"
I saw my opportunity and sat up in bed "Yes much better, thank you" i started skimming through for an address
Rose comes back in and hands me my water "please drink some this time"
"I will" I take just enough to wet my throat and wrap my arm around rose as she laid beside me.
"You know its almost time to sleep... I'm really sad that you were knocked out for our first time in the same bed... I can get up if you aren't ready"
Rose started to get up, but i immediately pull her back beside me "No stay here, its warmer" I kissed the biggest smile i have ever seen but her face and her cheeks turned to a tomato red.
"Ohh... Ohhkay" she said, her breath shaking
I could all but see her heart drop. She curled into me and laid her head on my chest. "I love you baby girl* i kissed her forehead
"I love you too Sam" she said half asleep.
