SO, I have done it. I have finally re-edited this for the millionth time!

Lisanna couldn't believe her eyes.

It was Natsu.

The Natsu she had known since childhood, her first love was standing in front of her cafe,

"Lisanna?" He said, his eyes wide with surprise. "Gorgeous..." he whispered before flushing red. Lisanna's eyes widened as Natsu was desperately trying to remember what words were.

Lisanna smirked, despite her cheeks stained a light pink. "Aw, you really think lil' ol' me is gorgeous?"

Natsu began spluttering before giving up, "Ugh! You're so mean to me!" Whining, Natsu buried his face into his scarf.  Lisanna laughed before shoving his shoulder.

"I'm just messing with you, calm down. Besides, the years didn't treat you too bad." Natsu squinted his eyes.

"I have no idea if that's a compliment or not," Natsu looked at Lisanna for a few more moments before breaking into a grin, "but I'll take it!"

The two made their way inside the cafe, and Natsu helped the best he could. All the while, the two were swapping stories about what had happened during the two years they were away from each other.

"...And then I decided it was time for a change, and I moved here!" Okay so, Natsu didn't want to talk about his ex-lover cheating on him with no remorse whatsoever. Instead, he left that part out and said him moving was for a change of pace.

While Natsu was wiping off a table, he remembered what he was looking at before he met with Lisanna. "OH! Hey, I saw the help wanted sign, and I was wondering if it was okay if I got a job here?"

Lisanna gave him a look, "If you want the job it's yours. I already know with a little bit of training you would be good to go! Just no eating the customer's food." She mock-scolded him. Natsu rolled his eyes.

The two chuckled before Lisanna started with his training, no better time than the present. As Lisanna was finishing explaining everything Natsu needed to do the door opened.

"Thanks for watching the place while we were gone Lisanna!" Mira walked in with Elfman holding shopping bags, yelling about manliness.

Mira turned to look at Lisanna before looking at Natsu, who did jazz hands, yelling a cheerful 'Hello!'

Mira launched herself into his arms and Elfman set down the groceries before scooping all of them into his arms. "Hugs are manly!"

~

They were catching up while putting the groceries away. It was during one of Mira's stories about an awkward first date with a creep when the door slowly opened.

"Sorry, we're closed!" Mira stated, before smiling at who opened the door, "Oh, welcome back Happy! Would you like your usual?"

Happy smiled and nodded shyly, taking small glances at Natsu,

Natsu noticed and made his way over to where Happy had sat down at a table, "Hey Happy, I'm Natsu! I was Lisanna's childhood friend!" Happy nodded with a small smile, this time the smile didn't fall from his face.

"Alright, a juice and a sandwich! Enjoy!" Lisanna said, waving off Happy's 'thank you's'

~
As Happy ate the two talked and got to know each other. Happy warming up to Natsu rather quickly, since he was a friend of Lisanna's.

Natsu warming up to Happy really quickly because seeing Happy talk about fish made Natsu want to squeal and hug Happy close. But, Natsu shoved those impulses down, not to sound like Elfman, but he was a man!

As the clock hit 4 Happy finished his juice and said his goodbyes before running out the door. "Bye Mira, Elfman, Lisanna and Natsu! I'll see you guys tomorrow!"

The four yelled a variation of goodbyes, before resuming their tasks. "He seems like a nice kid. How did you guys meet him?" Lisanna looked up at his question, before explaining.

"Well, he lives at a run-down orphanage, after school, he comes here for an early dinner before going back." Natsu hummed and began to think.

~
It was beginning to get late and as Natsu made his way home all he could think about was Happy's situation. Natsu ran a hand down his face. "Well, I'll get to know him, and if I still want to, I'll ask if I can adopt him."

Satisfied with that answer Natsu took a quick shower before making his way to bed. Natsu turned over and begun to scroll on his phone.

'Why did she cheat on me?' Natsu huffed and rolled his eyes. 'Whatever I don't care.' Natsu shut his eyes and desperately tried to ignore the thoughts that begun to flood his mind. Insecurities from before he had met Lucy begun to flood his mind.

Natsu turned over before launching out of bed and wandering over to the mirror. Natsu looked at his reflection long and hard before furrowing his brows.

Natsu hesitantly lifted his hoodie exposing his stomach. 'I'm not fat, I'm pretty well built actually.' Natsu's eyes dropped to his thighs before squeezing them shut. 'Maybe she didn't like how big they are.' Natsu shook his head trying to reason away his insecurities, 'Well, they're not that big, right?'

Natsu looked at his hair, running his fingers through the pink spikes. 'Maybe she didn't like how weird the color is.' Natsu's eyes began tearing up. 'Maybe because I'm too emotional.' Natsu squeezed his eyes shut a few tears falling. "Wow, I really am pathetic."

Natsu looked in the mirror for a few more minutes before walking back to bed, curling up into a ball and ignoring the sinking feeling in his stomach.

'Lisanna would never want to be with someone like me.' That thought sent Natsu over the edge as tears ran down his face.

~
Alright, so I have made adjustments. I decided I would instead have Natsu adopt Happy from a run-down orphanage instead of helping him from an abusive family.

Also, as a result of him getting cheated on, old insecurities started to come back up. Cheating is a very hurtful thing and can leave scars, so that's why Natsu was feeling all of those feelings.
