                                                                              Emberly Point of view

"So you're telling me he's gone." I inhaled a sharp breath. My statement was calm and monotone but judging by his expression he was shitting his pants. Good.

Kill him. Don't kill him. Kill him. Don't kill him. Fine. The voices in my head debated.

" But we did-" My palm slapped against the table efficiently cutting off the excuse.

I drew a strong breath and arose from the chair that was behind the mahogany desk. Slowly walking over to my mini-bar I poured myself a shot whiskey.

"What's your poison?" I gave him a glare that dared him to turn down my offer.

"I'll have tequila, ma'am." I shook my head and poured him a shot. After we both downed it I studied at him then. Overall he looked hideous. His amber eyes held both worry and fear, his body was slumped down, hair disheveled, and his cheeks held bruises and scratches.

Motioning him over to in front of my desk, I sat behind it. I folded my hands and rest them right on top. "Now," I began," Let me tell you something. We've been chasing him far longer than what it should be. I put you on the case because you're one of our best trackers. This man has killed three of our family members, two of my personal family members, and if I recall correctly, one of yours." At the mention of his dead sister, he looked at his hands. "You've found him several times and let him slip through your fingers. What do you think should happen?" I asked cocking my head to the side as I feigned curiosity.

He gulped audibly and spoke in an unsteady voice, "Maybe," he took a small intake of breath, "Maybe, another chance?

I snorted but nodded my head. I arose from my seat while he remained sitting. Walking up behind him and traced the edges of the gun that had been resting on my hip. He kept still and looked directly forward. I whispered, " Another chance, huh?"

He nodded his head but quickly realized his mistake, " Yes, ma'am."

I pulled my gun out of the holster and ran it through his hair. Laughing. I felt him stiffen once he felt the cold barrel against his head and laughed harder at his fear.

I thought we agreed.

I kept the gun pressed hard against his scalp and whispered," Well, you'll get one more chance." I slid the gun back where it came from but clamped my hands around his shoulders harshly rubbing his tension. I released him and with a flick of my wrist and dismissed his presence. Quickly I called him back, " Oh and have a good day." He nodded his head obediently and walked out.

Once he was gone. I began the paperwork that's been screaming to be done.

---

It had now been two hours and I was done with the papers. I looked over the plan for tonight. It was simple. Jason, the man we were going for tonight, had betrayed us. He was once a family member, although a low level. He took, admittingly, a good sum of money to rat out the little secrets he did know. The plan was to send in the bait, me, and the bait would kill him discreetly. He didn't know that we knew of his little secret so he wouldn't suspect anything. I looked at the clock and saw it was time for me to get ready, so I set out for home.

After my shower, I looked at myself in the mirror. My hair was naturally red but I dyed it so it looked more like a flame, red ombre. It was pretty long, resting about mid-back. My eyes were a bright green and lips that were pink. I had a decent body plus I was in really good shape. After analyzing my appearance I started on my hair, curling it loosely. Next stop was makeup. I did a shimmering smokey eye and applied my devil's red lipstick before I concealed any imperfections to my face. I stepped into a red lacey set of underwear that matched my lipstick perfectly. Afterall red was Jason's favorite color.
