Chapter One - The New Guy

Pov Courtney
I woke up with new bruises on my side. I knew it was going to happen again but I didn't want to except it. I decided to push pass it and get ready for work. Hopefully today won't be stressful. I get dressed in a grey crop top that went low enough to hide the bruises no matter what I did and a pair of light washed high waisted shorts. I made coffee and a bowl of cereal. I sat and ate while watching an episode of the office. I finished eating and went to to my hair and makeup. I did it all natural like normal. I grabbed my black sandals and put them on. I grabbed everything for work and walked out of my apartment and drove to work.
I got to work and walked to the smosh squad office. I knew everyone was here but the office was empty. I sat down my stuff and walked out to find them. They weren't in the conference room so I check smosh games. I walked in and saw everyone talking to someone.
"Hey Courtney you're here" Ian said "come over and greet the new member of smosh game." I walked over and see Damien. He was on an episode of mine and Olivia's show and show with no name.
"Hey Damien nice to see you again" I greeted him with a small quick hug.
"Hey Courtney nice to see you to" he said sweetly. He is such a sweetheart. He's really cute to. I push the thought from my head and talk with everyone. We talked for about half an hour then decided to get to work.
I walked back to the squad room and got on my computer to start writing a new script. The rest of the squad filled the room plus Damien. It was his first day technically so they were filming some stuff he wasn't in.
"Hey Courtney the others went to lunch. They tried to tell you but you zoned out" I heard Damien tell me. Damn was I that focused?
"Damn well then. Why didn't you go" I asked hungry hoping he'd say he wanted to get food.
"I wasn't hungry and wanted to wait and see if you wanted to go eat or if you wanted me to go get you something" Damien said looking at me caring. I didn't know him that well. We only talked a few times after he filmed with us.
"Can we go get food? I'm starving" I wined like a child.
"Sure lets go" he said. I jumped up and walked out of the office with him. I was so happy to go get food. We got to his car and we got in and drove to McDonald's. We got there and ate and talked for about an hour before Sunny texted me that we're filming in about 20 minuets. We got up to leave and I stretched out lifting my hands above my head.
We got to the car and drove back singing along to the radio. Damien didn't have a bad voice. Is sounded nice and soothing. We got to the office with ten minutes left before I had to film.
"Hey Courtney I have a question" Damien said and he parked the car.
"Yeah what's up" I asked him curiosity filled my voice.
"What... What's with all the bruises on your side?"
