Percy
It has been a year now since Annabeth and I have started dating. I wanted to do something really special for our one-year anniversary, but I'm not called Seaweed Brain/Kelp Head for nothing. I couldn't think of anything. I decided I wanted to go all out. I walked to the Aphrodite cabin and knocked on the door.
"One minute," a girl's voice called. Then she opened the door to her cabin, it was Drew. She was actually really pretty, wtih her dark hair in ringlets, her perfect makeup and jewelry. She could even make the camp t-shirt and shorts look glamorous, but that didn't balance out the monster she had inside of her sometimes. Sometimes I liked her, but most of the time I couldn't stand her. She was way too bossy and used her charmspeak to make people do terrible things. It was fun during a meeting when I would sneak behind her and mess her hair up and she would totally freak, but when she was nice, she was pretty nice.
"Hi Drew. Is Piper there?" I asked. I looked passed her into the cabin which was pretty empty seeing as most of the campers had gone home for the school year, but Annabeth and I decided to stay behind and extend our summer.
"No, she left last night, her dad picked her up." Drew said.
"Oh, never mind then." I was disappointed that she wasn't here, but what could I do?
"What do you need honey? I can help you." She said sweetly. Well, I thought, I do need some help.
"Ok I guess. I need help planning something really special for Annabeth and my one-year anniversary, but I can't think of anything."
"Of couse I'll help you Percy," Drew said without hesitation.
"Ok thanks, meet me in my cabin after breakfast, ok?" I asked as I started to walk away.
"Sure thing hon."
*After Breakfast*
I was in my cabin waiting for Drew to show up. Then I heard a knock at the door. I walked over to open it.
"Thank you so much for doing this Drew, it really means a lot."
"No problem hon, no problem at all."
"ok, but we have to be finished a little before lunch, because I'm going to pick Annabeth up for lunch."
"Ok. So what do you have in mind?"
"Nothing. Maybe something romantic? But that's where you come in Drew."
"Ok how about a picnic late at night, under the stars. You could be on the beach with candles. Oooh that would be so romantic."
"Ok, anything else?"
"Not really, I mean that was quite simple. But say to her I love you."
"I love you..." Then I heard someone running outside my cabin. Huh, I thought that the Satyrs try to catch the tree nymphs after lunch... "Ok thank you so much Drew. You helped a lot."
"Anytime Percy." Then she walked out.
I looked at my watch and saw that I had about an hour before I had to go pick up Annabeth at her cabin. I decided to go to the sword fighting arena so I could think about tomorrow, our anniversary while I train. I hacked away at some dummies, but quickly got bored so I went to go pick up Annabeth up a little bit early.
As I walked up to the door, I heard someone crying. I opened the door to see Annabeth on her bed, crying into her pillow. I run to he bed, "Annabeth? What's wrong?"
"I hate you Percy go away. I never want to see you again you no good sea spawn." she screamed. I was speechless. What did I do? I don't think I called her a dumb blonde. I don't even think I could make that mistake twice because the first time I did, well I missed her for a week...
"Annabeth look at me." I say. I really want to no whats wrong.
"No, go away.""
Let's try this again, "Annabeth, look at me, I'm not going away until you tell me what's wrong."
She turned around. Her grey eyes were puffy and tinted red from crying and her blonde hair that was curled like a princess' was all messed up. She was a disaster. "Why would you care? You have Drew now."
"Of course I care, you're my girlfriend... wait Drew? What about her?" Now I was really confused.
She took a deep breath, "I walked to your cabin because I was wondering if you were there. I was going to ask if you wanted to dual. I was about to open the door when I heard Drews voice say, "I love you." and t-then you said it back." Annabeth then returned to her pillow.
"Annabeth, you got it wrong. Well seeing how upset you are, I guess I'll ruin the surprise."
"Wh-what surprise?"
"The only reason Drew was in my cabin was because I asked her to help me. I wanted to plan something special for our one-year anniversary, but I couldn't think of anything. I went to the Aphrodite Cabin for help, looking for Piper, but she left last night so I asked Drew. She said that I should tell you that, well, I love you Annabeth. And I just repeated her, agreeing with her. Annabeth I love YOU, not Drew, not anyone else. I would never betray you like that."
"I love you too Percy." Then she kissed me and it was the best kiss yet.
