Resolution: The New Era begins here

Chapter 1

It has been 3 years after the death of that wretch yet filthy half demon, Naraku and 1 year later has been the return of the reincarnation of a human dead priestess, Kagome. The village was eventually in peace; no more sacred jewels that still lurking in this world, no more annoying Naraku's companion, and finally no more problems that involved the annoying wretch half demon, Naraku. No more.

Sesshomaru has decided that he would leave his human companion into the care of the humans for the sake of her own safety - perhaps, it was time for her to learn about the human's qualities and cultures and not about a life of demons. Rin's safety is his top priority after all - ever since that incident in the underworld, he surely swore to his life that this would never happened again to her. Thus of his own ignorance about the Tenseiga's true reasons as to why Rin wasn't resurrected again, it lead into a chaos. And that he would certainly not repeat it again.

And of course, there was his annoying half brother of his, Inuyasha, the other son of his father. Years have been passed but the behavioural actions of his younger brother wasn't altered into something a peaceful mental or emotional state - and that still annoyed him the most. There were many things that his younger brother, Inuyasha, annoyed him yet sometimes it fascinated him. First, his loud brash mouth would make him into an impertinent being. Second, his insulting words would cause Sesshomaru to annoy more because of his rackety mouth and couldn't just shut up. Third, his lack of competent plans and intelligence when it comes to tactics in battles were absolutely insufficient and that led him into easily defeated against Sesshomaru. Fourth, he always attacks his opponent without hesitation and with no analyzing each of his enemy's motives before rushing into it like a belligerent fool. And finally, his stubbornness. Indeed, his stubbornness makes him more worthy in a battlefield with no offence - he honestly admitted that Inuyasha was not that entirely worthless because of his own confidence. He clearly recalled those fights with his younger brother; those blazing golden eyes filled with determination and pride, those aggressive yet clumsy actions behave like a true warrior, and his confidence was truely that astonishing. It fascinated him with those Inuyasha's personalities have. Although, his foolish motives were usually absurd because of his own lack competency.

By the way, he curiously wondered what place is this after he busied himself for having thoughts in his mind, thinking rather a deep thoughts and as a result, he was just laid there mesmerising himself rather than doing something necessary.

He looked at his surroundings as to where he rested under the tree and then stared up a warming green canopy leaves that were flew by the nature's breeze. It was no doubt that this was a perfect place for him to rest after so many irrelevant thoughts that kept plaguing in his mind. Perhaps, it was time for him to go to sleep and then-

"Lord Sesshomaru!!" A high-pitch shrieking voice coming not to far away shouted at him, causing to disrupt his soon to be having peaceful rest.

Sesshomaru tried hardly to control his anger as to not behead the imp demon's head for disrupting his peacefulness in this place.

"My lord!.." The imp demon panted profusely before continuing " I have been searching you for all of these hours. Where have you been anyway, My lord?!"

"How is Rin's doing?" He ignored the kappa's question, eyeing him with his cold golden eyes.

"Eh!..uhmm.well, she's been doing well with those human's stuff. To be more precise, she's learning about what that old priestess taught her, My lord. It is quite unexpected that she too was a quick learner unlike those petulant human children who was having the same age as hers. Those brats were nothing to compare to Rin, -they're still acting with childish and-" Jaken's stopped

"I am not asking an information about what those human children do. I am clearly asking to you how Rin's doing there" he cut off the imp's statement

"Ehh..she's doing fine with Lady Kaede's teachings to her. Ehemm..you know, the old priestess decided to teach Rin how to use a bow." The imp uttered

"A bow?" He quirked an eyebrow. Perhaps this was something about that dead priestess though.

"Yes,.. As you may know, Kaede made a decision that Rin will be the next priestess once the old lady perished in that very land, entrusted to her to protect the village and people from chaos. It is quite expected this to happen because Rin is a perfect candidate to become the next priestess by Kaede not unlike those other incompetent human female, well.. except Inuyasha's partner, Kagome ." Jaken explained in a clear manner.

Indeed, Rin is a better choice for the next participant of becoming priestess once that old human died. Rin's personalities were likely a compassionate and pure one and it was no doubt as to why that Kaede chose her. It was not just about her personality or purity, it was about testing her own loyalty to the village chiefly. However, of something bad happen to the human girl then he would not hesitate to act upon and eliminate whatever threats that may occur to the girl.

Also, speaking of his younger brother.

"And how about Inuyasha?" He gazed at the imp, expecting him to answer the question.

The moment when Sesshomaru mentioned his brother's name, Jaken suddenly quieted because of not knowing how to answer that question. It was a clearly obvious that Sesshomaru wasn't aware of what was happening to Inuyasha. It's true that Sesshomaru didn't care about what will happen to younger brother as long as he was not killed by the other's hands. Sesshomaru was the only one who could dispatch him and no one else. He will be the one who could pierces Inuyasha's heart once they met again and fight till death. Yet, something unexpected happen to the half demon. Once the demon lord knew what happened to his younger brother then who knows what wrath will his lord might show up. This was one of his most fearful scenario that have had happened in his life because Sesshomaru was too oblivious of the recent occurrence.

Jaken gulped nervously, too hesitant to answer. " Uhm..well..you see"

"Jaken" he warned

The imp glanced at his lord's frigid golden eyes and saw a hint of fury that risen up in Sesshomaru's demeanor.

Seeing his lord's anger caused Jaken to have a trepidation, panicking in a horrified face and sputtered nervously " I'm so sorry, Lord Sesshomaru! I didn't mean to anger you or caused something else that might annoyed you more.! And as you've asked, Lord Inuyasha wasn't seen the last 3 days ago before his comrades went to search him without hesitation. I have no qualms that this is about the demon who-"

He frowned at what Jaken was said " Inuyasha is missing? "

"Y-yyes, my lord" the imp gulped

"and what do you mean he is missing? " he inquired impassively

Jaken scratched at the back of his head, unsure how to respond back. " well, the term missing is meaning lost or unable to found-"

"I am well too aware of what's the definition of that term. I meant 'HOW', Jaken" he felt his patience running thinner for not being so specific as what the little imp demon has informed.

He gulped " well, I have heard the rumors that Lord Inuyasha was sent to the southern border part where there was a village that a demon oftenly attacked livestock during at night . With too much enthusiasm of his own, Lord Inuyasha took no hint and was very willingly determined to go to the village and kill the demon that killed their livestocks."

"And"

"And Unfortunately, it was all a set on trap, My lord" the imp stated

Silence.
