Nova Rose

Chpt. 2

    Nova's P.O.V.      

             We walked into the pack house just to have people stare at me, this is just great. "What pack did you say you were from again?" Axel asked me. "I never told what pack I was from before but my dad is from the Imperial Lycan pack."  "Seriously you're from that pack, it's so boring I wouldn't believe you were born into that pack." Luka said. "Oh no I was never born into that pack my dad cheated on his wife with a witch and they had me then my mother died and he took me in. I'm just a crazy and reckless as my mom at least that's what Dave my dad tells me." They all looked at me for a second with sympathy in their eyes but when they saw my face they pushed back their sympathy. "Let's get this party started!" Theo yelled. Everyone cheered, I brought the booze in and I put it on a table making sure to keep the Gin with me. I opened the Gin and took a generous swig of it. I don't drink a lot but feeling the burn of alcohol going down my throat gave me a sense of comfort. 

           Ever since I turned 16 and I was invited to parties I always found a sense of comfort in alcohol. My eyes get a tint of purple in them as I drink more. Music is blaring and I love it, I might just find out the alpha of this pack and switch packs. I know my so called family will love if I just left. "Hey Nova come here!" Luka calls. I drink some more Gin and walk over feeling to lovely feeling of being buzzed. "Yeah Luka?" "Do you want to dance?" "Fuck Yeah!" I apologize in advance when I'm buzzed or drunk nothing and I mean nothing gets in my way to ruin my mood. We move to the dance floor and start dancing at some point while we're dancing we start grinding but I don't remember when. Then I smell it, more like I smell him. My eyes go wide and I realize something I didn't realize before. This was his pack I finally got to see him after 12 years. I stop dancing with Luka and turn on my heel searching for his scent. 

           "Shane where are you" I mutter to myself as I follow his scent outside. 'Go left' my wolf Ember says. She hasn't talked to me since my mother died. I have more Werewolf in my blood than witch. Which makes no sense because my mother was full witch and I'm a girl but back to the point I only have a wolf no witch. The only thing witchy about me is my eyes. I take a sharp left and see him there in the moon light. He's kissing a girl who kinda looks like Brittney. I stand there for a minute my buzzed mood completely gone and just stare at them which is very rude I might add but I don't care. I hear running coming up from behind me and I know it's Luka from his smell. "Nova what the hell..." he dies down when he turns the corner and sees what I'm seeing. "Nova c'mon." Luka grabs my arm and I turn around to look at him when we hear a growl. Luka looks terrified of whats behind me and I don't blame him Shane can be scary sometimes. 

          In an instant I feel hot breath fanning my neck making my neck hairs stand on end. "What are you doing here Nov?" Shane asks with the nickname he gave me when we were little and I mean really little I haven't seen him since I was 5 years old. " I asked you a question Nova Rose." I stay frozen I can't believe it's him, his warm hand grips my upper arm getting ready to turn me around. "Don't even think about." I say to him in a low tone. "What the hell are you doing here bitch I thought you were at the club daddy gave me for my birthday you practically live there." Britt spat at me I knew it was her. I look at Luka who has horror written all over his face so I know my eyes are red. I rip my arm out of Shane's grip finding some confidence and I walk straight up to Brittney getting right up in her face. "Watch your tone bitch or I might be executed by the council for murder." I say, I can see the fear in her eyes she's clearly terrified. 

          My work here is done, I turn around and see Shane glaring at Luka. Shane was my best friend before my mother died we were inseparable but as you can see things have changed my mother died from something unknown to me and I had to leave him. I fast walk past Shane grab Luka's hand and we go back inside. "Just great I have his to haunt me from my child hood. This is great!" I yell and walk up to the drink table. I need to let loose tonight, I let go of Luka who's still in shock from Shane maybe they knew each other. I I grab the half- full bottle of Rum, I chug the rest of the bottle and grab the first guy who approached me. I dragged him upstairs into a small closet I thought was a bedroom. I wrapped my arms around his neck and started attacking him with me lips. I never let it get as far as bra and bear chest make-out session but tonight I need something more. Maybe that's just the booze talking.
