Felicity sat up and motioned for him to sit next to her. " When I was twenty- three, I was really stupid. I went out to a bar with my boyfriend, and I had to much to drink. We went back to his apartment, and he raped me, a month later I found out I was pregnant." Nik watched as tears started streaming down her face. He reached out and pulled her closer. " After I told Jesse, he said he never wanted to be a father.  he told me if I didn't get rid of the baby, he'd come and do it himself. I've been really careful of who I told; that I was coming here. I told  my parents, my best friend Sam, and my other friend Avery. But I wanted you to know that there is a chance he will find out where I am, and try to kill or hurt me. " I'll understand if you don't want me to be your girlfriend anymore." She stood up and walked over to the window and looked out over the pond.

She heard him get up and thought he was leaving the room. But instead she felt the gentleness of his touch, and leaned into him. " I'm not going to leave you, Felicity. You have been wronged by someone you trusted. You are not the only person who has been through this." Nik turned her around to face him, and still saw tears running down her face. He lifted his hand and gently brushed them away. Nik looked at her and noticed that she looked ready to drop. " Let's get you back to bed." " What time is it?" Felicity asked. " It's about six, why?" he asked. " I haven't seen a sunset since I got here. There is a swing by the pond, can we go out and watch it? Please?" Nik nodded. " I'm going to bring a blanket out with us, it gets pretty chilly when the sun goes down." He went over to the bed and picked up a quilt. He touched her elbow and led her out the door. She stumbled on the uneven ground, so Nik gently scooped her up into his arms. " I'm sorry . My legs feel like overcooked noodles." " No need to apologize, Felicity. I understand," he said as he sat down on the swing. She curled her legs up on the seat, while resting her head on Nik's shoulder. He tucked the the quilt around her, as she settled in and remained quiet. Just as the sun was indeed setting, Nik noticed that her breathing was deep and even. He smiled down at her, and gently shook her "Felicity, it's time to go back into the house." She moaned softly and snuggled deeper into the warmth of the quilt and his body. he scooped her up and carried her into the house. He pulled back the covers and laid her down on the bed, and pulled the cover up to her chin. He  walked out and closed the door.
