Looking over at my alarm, I lazily hit the snooze button, but just as I do, my mom comes storming in, forcing me to wake. I always hated having to go back to school after winter break. I guess if you live where there is always bad snow and all you want to do is sleep, you necessarily wake up all that enthusiastic.

"Georgia! Come on! You are going to be late if you don't get out of bed!" My mom tells me, sharking me until I show signs of life.

"MOM! I just want five more minutes!" I complain.

"In five minutes you should be heading to the bus stop, I would recommend getting up now. I made a smoothie for you and it is downstairs in the fridge. I am so glad I made you get out your clothes last night instead of you having to make an outfit this morning." She tells me and I immediately jump from my bed and rush over to my chair where I set out my clothes for today. Nothing too fancy, just jeans and my favorite Disney t-shirt. I quickly scramble around, putting on my clothes and brushing my thick, long blonde hair. I throw on some booties and I head downstairs where my younger brother, Ryan half eating his oatmeal, half falling asleep in it. My mom puts my lunch in my bag and I am out the door, racing down the icy sidewalk to the end of the street.

Just as I was nearing the stop, the bus pulls up and lets the kids on. I run just a little bit faster to make sure I don't miss it and I fall flat on my butt right in front of the bus. There's one thing you should know about me, I am in eighth grade and I moved here earlier this year. I am not at all popular and I don't have any friends, maybe just some acquaintances, if that. All the popular kids ride my bus, and you can bet they caught all of that on camera. Ugh, I'm not even on the bus yet and I'm already the joke. I hurry and get on the bus, everyone staring at me.

As we near the school, I realize that my whole backside is wet and since I chose to sit in the front, everyone will be behind me. Can't the day be over yet?! I step out into the cold air and hurriedly make my way to a chair, I just need to sit.

"Hey Georgia! How was your winter break?" Liam asked me. Liam is my lab partner, he is really nice, cute, and he tried to make conversations with me, and now that I think about it, I don't know why I never really talked to him. He was always right there in front of me, just waiting for me to notice, I guess.

"It could have been better, I guess." I tell him, wow, he is like really cute, like he has that cool dirty-blonde hair with piercing green eyes. Compared to my blonde hair and grey eyes, he is amazing. He is also like 5'10, and compared to my 5'1 he is a giant. I sit next to him and wait for science to start and our conversation just carried on very casual- good break? Do anything fun? The weather, am I right?

"Good morning class! Hope you are all awake today, we have a fun project we are starting today!" Says my over excited teacher, Mrs. Famuda. A fun project? This ought to be interesting. "With your lab partners, you will come up with, design, and make your own body part that you  think would be beneficial to the human species. This project is due February 24, about a moth from now. You will have this week to come up with and plan you part of the body and you will have to do all of the building outside of this classroom. I think this is the best way to introduce our new unit of Biology!" What?! I had to work with Liam OUTSIDE of school? Like as in he comes over or I go to his house and we hang out? This is going to be the worst month ever.
