                                                                                                                                                      Chapter I

I looked the same. My voice was the same. But the way I saw the world was different. I would constantly hear people whisper how hard my life is. I couldn’t quite understand them though. I mean, I knew it but my six years old mind then wasn’t able to quite grasp the meaning. I knew nothing else but the reality I was living in, my reality.

A spell was put on me so I can forget. Like for instance, did I want this spell or my father? And if it was me then it must’ve been something horrifying for my father to agree to such drastic measures. And it wasn’t a thing or a situation I was to forget , no. My chain of thoughts was interrupted by the loud closing of the large ballroom doors. A room that was now turned into a gathering place for all the vampire counsels to forgather.

My father is the oldest vampire in the world, the King. He is centuries old as well as his other two brothers, Sebastian and Nathaniel. And now the world was on the verge of a war. The country is divided into cities ruled by counsels, appointed by the King  of the Vampires or Werewolves accordingly.

And now my father gathered  all the vampire counsels to discuss what was yet to happen.

“We need to ally with them!” my father raised his voice. Contrary to what others think, he rarely raised his voice. He did that only when he was extremely frustrated which was now obviously.

“Never!” answered one of the counsels. “We are stronger than them. We don’t need them, they need us. The fact that we didn’t take them over doesn’t mean we are weaker than them.”
